Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this.
• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

CHARACTER: Lapis Fathalla
CANON: Original. Basically in her world there are powerful mediums that can 'bond' with ghosts for power and help, and gives the ghosts power in return, which are known as "Ghost Masters". Lapis is one of said mediums, and usually has a couple of ghosts hanging around her, though she uses her powers to deal with any malevolent or troublesome ghosts.

AU OCCUPATION: Owner of beauty salon, probably called something like "Bel Fiore" or something else in Italian just because
BLURB:

❀ Originally born and raised in Italy, was sent to go live with her Grandmother in Recolle after becoming rather traumatised from witnessing a violent accident. While this kinda helped, it also resulted in Lapis becoming incredibly withdrawn as a child and pretty friendless as she grew up.

❀ Spent most of her life unsure what to do, ended up going to a beauty school because she likes make-up and fashion so why not make a career out of it? Is actually pretty damn good at it too, which is how she opened her own place. She's the only one who works there though, since she's not rich enough yet to hire other people

❀ Tends to come across quiet and introverted, but is actually super sweet and very much The Mom Friend. Also kind of a troll as well, it's hard to tell when she's being serious or not since she rarely emotes.

❀ Knows English and Italian fluently, also knows some basic Arabic thanks to Grandmama

❀ Has a grumpy white Persian cat called Mitchell. He hangs around the salon when Lapis is working and may decide that certain clients are worthy to be his seat and let them pet him

❀ Actually has a strong interest in death and customs surrounding it, but tends to keep that on the down-low unless she's close to someone. May or may not do some work for funeral homes in regards to doing make-up for bodies to make sure they look good for funerals

❀ Has debated going to back to school to study anthropology or something like that, but is still uncertain

❀ Loves flowers and baking. Anybody who goes to her salon will be fed cake and probably be smelling like flowers all day since Lapis covers everywhere with them. Her apartment is basically 90% flowers, which are also all cat-safe

❀ Is actually v good at singing, but actually suffers from some mild stage-fright so what is singing in front of other people...

LOOKING FOR:
❀ Clients??? Let her do your make-up and mess with your hair

❀ A ROOMMATE they have to deal with flowers and cat hair everywhere, but at least they get cake and cookies

❀ Friends, either someone she managed to befriend when she was younger or people she met when she got older, Lapis likes most people even if she sucks at showing it...

❀ People for her to mom over, she is super fussy and has no issue dragging people around

❀ Other fellow make-up artists!!!

au!college-kid sion is probably one of her best clients. also likely makes a lot of donations to her business because his dad is a rich ~~and corrupt~~ politician WHAAAT.

MAYBE IF WORK HAS MERCY ON ME....

but lapis would love messin with sion's hair, gonna put it into all sorts of styles!! though she does at least try to bake cakes for him in return for the donations HAVE ALL THE CAKES

Oh hey, it's Lapis! Hi there, Ayame-mun here. I'm psyched to see Lapis is being considered for this game. It's a perfect place for her.

Your AU ideas are really cute, I like the hair salon idea. Selvaria here might actually make a potential client. Seeing as they both have pet cats, it could be a good way for them to become friends or even next-door neighbors!
