AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER
Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this.
• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

She is prone to bouts of loneliness so he can count on it. They will have all the family dates. All of them.

But don't tell anyone about the time she accidentally had an entire shelf fall on her in a toy store, okay... Or the time she screamed mommy while seagulls chased her down the pier... Those things never happened...

FAMILY DATES--!! They should totally go on a dim sum trip at some point and then get distressed over the fact that no one at the place speaks a dialect they understand HAHA

BUT! He won't mention it as long as she doesn't say anything about him tossing his books over a railing when someone brought up his crush!! Or how he turned bright red when someone said he looked cute!! WE'RE BOTH COOL PEOPLE, HONEST

Also I forgot to mention it in the previous comment, but it's going to be hilarious when Xiaolang regains his rashinban and it just starts randomly glowing and they both flip out because ??? WHAT IS THIS

SO, SO COOL. I'm already dying, this is so cute. At one dim sum place, everyone's dissing Sunny in idk Fukien while they're like ??? WHAT IS GOING ON?

Ohhh my gosh, yes please. All the magic, all the freakouts. Sunny can regain the weapons of all her disciples too so I mean... If she ever accidentally leaves him a magical staff that can change its size at will, there will be more screaming to be had.

ALSO!!!! gonna add this here so I don't spam you with notifs, but I saw that Sunny is a Huge Nerd and like. She should totally just arrange a Family Date Night where she gets Xiaolang to marathon her favorite shonen with her and then grill him about who his favorite character is and why because it'd be SO GREAT

Please... PLEASE. SHE WILL DOTE ON HIM SO HARD. She'd visit him at school like "I'M HERE FOR THE PTA MEETING" and she'd get him a 1/8 scale Edward Elric figure on his birthday...

ALSO I'm modifying her backstory so that she's from Hong Kong. Do you think they would have had any contact at all before Recolle, though? Just curious! I can work with anything since Sunny would be the type to latch onto family, even if unfamiliar.

OH NO HE WOULD TOTALLY LOVE IT TOO.... just looking at it perched on his dresser next to his science awards and quietly sparkling over it all EDWARD'S SO COOL.... (and he'd definitely sew a little sock monkey for Sunny for her own birthday and leave it at her dorm and get a call later all 'XIAOLANG I LOVE IT!!' 'I DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE A NOTE ON IT HOW DID YOU KNOW IT WAS ME' 'BECAUSE YOU'RE A NERD'

But I can imagine that they might have, for New Year's gatherings, perhaps? Maybe her family goes one year to his family's house, and visa versa the next year, although Xiaolang probably doesn't socialize much during them because all the people there overwhelm him, haha 8'( Actually, if Sunny isn't already dorming, I'd be totally down for her being his actual guardian here at Recolle? I can see his mom getting the idea of sending Xiaolang off to Recolle once she heard that Sunny's family did it too, and maybe getting in touch with her and/or her family to see if it was okay for him to stay with her? Xiaolang most likely holed himself up in his room at first when he arrived, because he didn't know her all too well and it probably cued a DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAAAAAAN/NO/OKAY BYYYYE 8( thing between them HAHA

(but he can cook and clean and shop and do laundry so like. he's probably the best case scenario for looking after a thirteen year old boy)

But HAHA oh my god, I would LOVE that! It fits with Xiaolang's blurb too since Sunny's usually busy with uni/tutoring. But just a heads up, she's probably the less competent between the two of them when it comes to life skills so... LMAO

It's okay. She gives great advice. Let her big sis him all the way.

PLEASE MENTOR HIM, he may be stupidly over-competent in life skills for a tween, but someone needs to make sure he actually........ relaxes. SOBS

at least there's an app round next month?? hopefully you'll be allowed to app her then! this CR is too cute to not play out, this is way too sad

Unfortunately, she doesn't show up in the English version of the game until next year! :( So it'll be a long while before I can app her to Recolle. Really sorry!
