AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER
Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this.
• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU AGE: 19
AU OCCUPATION: Fledgling Songwriter
BLURB:
🦋Born into an family of Esteemed (German?) Military History
🦋Angela faces extreme pressure from her parents to enlist in some sort of military service after high school.
🦋 Angela, being an outgoing, carefree person who loves all living things, does not want to do this. Her parents come down hard on her, but she is ultimately able to pursue a love of music instead. She sings, plays guitar, and writes her own songs.
🦋Her family doesn't have a particularly large amount of money after moving to Recolle a few years back, so Angela is unable to attend university. She sings at the local indie clubs and coffee shops when she can, but that's about it for jobs.
🦋She sings about stuff like butterflies and heaven and falling in love in just the sappiest garbage.
🦋 While Angela is a happy person, she holds a great deal of frustration inside of her re: her inability to go anywhere with her music, the pressure her family puts on her, and her inability to attend school. She has a penchant for getting down in the dumps and lashing out at her friends--she's very emotive.
🦋 Probably gonna turn into a robot and become the most miserable person on planet earth.

LOOKING FOR: Siblings, cousins, friends, people with which she can attempt flirting, neighbors, FELLOW MUSICIANS, people who work at places that might allow her to play music?

Tarr may or may not adopt her by teaching her music stuff tho he is an emo goth who does music as a side to his real job of making sweets. It all depends if she wants to deal with the most expressive depressed baker ever.

Let's both get real sad and then sing about it

He's very good at the sad and singing about it. He also has a voice he describes as being airraid high. Like extreme high pitched and soft.

Wrong account but Yukiko would absolutely go to coffee places she might sing at. And that can be a starting point Maybe? Then Arena memories hit and she remembers a sad robot :(

That's great!!! She'd be really appreciative of the people she sees there when she's performing often--like regulars that come to see her. She'd totally come up to her after she was done and thank her profusely as ask what she thought.

and then later it gets HECKIN SAD

The saddest of sad but she can be Yukiko's favorite sad robot.

I think she and Elliot are close in age so she can relate to him?? Esp if he's not one of the Recolle Musician Kids that is all Famous with their Myspace Pages and their Snapchat Stories and their Youtubes

She is a true struggling artist

Is Myspace even still up....

But yeah he's definitely not at all famous! In fact he's been struggling thanks to his family pushing him to join the military like his dad did -- so there's a lot of potential for bonding there.

oh my god.......... eren has a german background but while his parents are in the medical field, maybe more of his family doesn’t have to be?? he’s crazy about the military and got into the air force a while back, plus, he’s extremely passionate of people going after their dreams and did this to elliot at pre military camp and have been super close ever since............ very close 👌🏻 he’d be so so so so supportive of her and her music and would constantly give her boosts!!!!!

so can they be cousins, eren will fight for you

okay admittedly i don't have anything of substance to add... besides picking out a few commonalities; john doesn't attend college for somewhat different, if similar, reasons so maybe they can someday talk about that. also she's free to attempt flirting, thankfully he won't take it seriously at all

Yeah they can talk about how being college aged and not in college sucks when literally everyone else attends RU

I haven't decided if I want her living with her parents OR in a situation of living in an apartment because her parents would only let her pursue music if she went out on her own. But I'm. Not sure how she would pay for that given her lack of conventional employment.
