AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this. • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like. OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Are you torn between which character to app? Let us help! Yes!! I would be! I'm completely canon blind to Elliot but if he has a big family with cousins and aunts/uncles it could fit well with my idea!! Zack's family was the sort to always extend invites for huge Christmas dinners and the like. Would that work?

It would!!

Basically Elliot's dad was in the army, his mom was a pianist- but they both died in a fire 10 years ago and Elliot went to live with an aunt and uncle until he move to Recolle in August for college. He's also got an older brother whose a firefighter (Carlos from Zero Time Dilemma)- but they aren't in the game anymore. Other than that, I've left it incredibly vague about his family besides he has more aunt/uncles/cousins - some of which are also in the military!

But yeah Elliot would basically be that tiny sweet bandgeek cousin that's such a city boy that when he came for Christmas he'd be like genuinely excited to see things like COWS and HORSES!!

glkdjfglk That's so adorable!! Zack would have thrown him up on horses so fast! And he'll probably ask Elliot about anything city-related he doesn't really understand so he does't make an idiot of himself. LOL That works great!

Would you like to say that their dads are brothers maybe or they're related through marriages? Perhaps it was partly due to Elliot's dad that Zack took a shine to the army?

Oh no that's adorable I want this yes. Elliot would be happy to answer all his city-related questions!! You'll be riding the bus like a pro Zack.

I'd be good with either one, so I'll leave it up to you if you want to change Zack's surname or not (Elliot's surname is Craig). Elliot would treat him the same either way! And that would be perfect- Elliot's dad was a very good soldier and one of those hero types that was big on protecting people. So basically exactly the sort of person Zack would look up to.

I think I'll go with cousins through marriage then, just because I'm pretty set on the last name staying Fairweather. :)
