AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER
Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this.
• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU OCCUPATION: student even if i age him up a little
BLURB:

- the biggest thing irt his characterization is that he's not terminally ill in this setting so he's a lot less somber, prone to talking in harsh extremes like he does in canon less death talk basically?? a bit more cheerful
- grew up in recolle, his family was probably really wealthy once (i'm still flip flopping on specifics but for the moment i want to say they worked in publishing had some sort of mini media conglomerate?? ) but has financially been on the decline in the past decade or so. they try and hide it and put a lot of pressure on him to take over when he's old enough.
- so that being said he's had a pretty strict upbringing, was raised to care about appearances a ton. his family is trying really hard to hide the state of their finances, they've made a big mess out of everything and kind of expect him to pick up the pieces eventually.
- however because he was his family's shining star and basically capable of anything and everything they asked he's also incredibly spoiled lol a little different than in canon?? in canon he's mean in the bitchy way here i imagine he'll be mean in a more douchey kind of way
- he's never really pursued interests of his own free will, everything he does or likes serves some kind of purpose in the grand scheme of the plan laid out for him by his parents
- he's not going to complain about that but there's definitely some pent up resentment towards his family and he has a tendency to take it out on the people around him.
- the boy doesn't have hobbies?? help him discover his personality??
- i'm as cliche as it gets, he's gonna start college in a year and he's lowkey filled with existential dread because he's realizing more and more how little he wants anything to do with the future his parents need him to want.

LOOKING FOR:

- i kept a lot of things vague so castmates can hit me up with whatever they so desire

- but also he needs friends probably
- also like, again, i'm a huge cliche but i want an arranged marriage plot for him so bad

this is anya she's a high school junior who's done ballet all her life, lived in recolle all her life, recently had her own idol debut and is a gently rising star. she's going to try so hard to make friends with eichi??

also heads up she speaks in broken english with peppered in russian and she's The Softest she will do everything to be his friend if they aren't friends already

He likes to bully other students? He must have gotten in trouble with Mr. Nelson before then. Is he one of those rich kids who gets away with bullying because their parents use money to bail them out of being disciplined?

Kamui here will be a pretty big bully and is also super aimless (sans family expectations, his family expects literally nothing from him). They could be school friends, only one year apart. If you're looking for AU CR that'd drag Eichi out of class for potentially less-than-legal finding yourself adventures, he's your guy.

I can offer up Bruno as negative CR (schoolmate)...! Bruno's also a rich and spoiled achiever but basically the opposite in every other regard in that he's not a douche and he's easily bullied, oops.

hinata here is going to be a junior if you want something with him! or dave strider graduated just before summer so they might have had classes together at some point.

haha i'm Extremely Late but James and Eichi would be only a grade apart so I imagine they could run into each other at school a lot! And if they do, James is probably gonna want to sock him in the face for being a douche, let's be completely honest. (Or has previously socked him in the face for being a douche, if we wanna go with that angle)
