AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this. • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Hello hello! I am totally okay with this; Cumore's been around professionally for...most likely about a year now? And they're in the same general age bracket as well. Do you have any preference regarding type of CR, or are we just aiming for professional acquaintances and seeing how things go from there, or...?

This is my first every RP game, so I'm still pretty new to everything. Looking at Cumore's AU history I'm wondering if Derek would actually hate this guy.I'm only saying this because Derek's personality is kind of similar, he doesn't like change. But Derek is also kind of a straight forward person who can come off as kind of a dick, a lovable dick, but a dick none the less.

Did Cumore/Alexander go to high school in Recolle, and would he have gone to public school?

No worries, friend, I am here for you, and also here for literally any sort of CR that happens as a result! Cumore tends to like straightforward and he likes...predictable, for lack of a better word - basically, it doesn't really matter to him if the people he spends time with are dicks as long as they're consistent dicks, so as a result he's totally okay with abrasive/blunt, if that's what's being referred to.

He did attend school in Recollé up until he left for university, though it was private school rather than public.

Huh, then Derek might actually like him. Maybe they will get drinks sometime and become friends.

I don't know if Derek is a consistent dick. He just really hates people who aren't logical, not competent, or hurts his friends. If Derek is able to pick Cumore's brain and find ways to tease him, Derek will be fairly content.

...You know, he'd actually be on board for that, good lord. I mean just as a personal character trait, canonically he tends to pride himself on competence and efficiency in everything he does, and that's going to carry over into Recollé as well. The primary thing is that "everything he does" here is...decidedly less insane than it was in canon.

So that actually works in everyone's favor, from the sound of it. He's also got less of a stick up his ass here given that he's taking things a little slower and not pursuing a bunch of increasingly insane goals, so if Derek wants drinks sometime then he wouldn't be opposed.

Alright, let them be drinking buddies! I must warn you, you get Derek drunk enough and find the right song, he will break out in song. He did two years of high school theater.
