AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this. • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like. OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Are you torn between which character to app? Let us help! AU AGE: 23 ? 24? (still ironing out specific details of his timeline so please forgive a little messiness agewise)
AU OCCUPATION: Either a 4 times gold medalist considering becoming a coach, or uh a dance instructor?

Yuuri Katsuki is a 4 times gold medalist and olympic level skater who is finding his drive for success and the stress of being under the spotlight is driving him to consider whether to retire and become a coach or go on and consider trying for a 5th consecutive win.
Yuuri made his debut in his first senior program by taking gold and hasn't seemed to slow in his career since, taking out gold at each consecutive GPF. He has in the public eye appeared aloof and confident, and because of his success this is mostly true - though he is still plagued with insecurities, the support of his family and ballet instructor, Minako has gotten him through thus far. Yuuri is still his anxious self, but with secured success under his belt, he takes it in stride and using these negative emotions to push himself to perfectionism. He has relocated from Hasetsu, Japan to further mull over his decision about skating and perhaps finish university classes that had been put on hold due to his rigorous training schedule.
Cue memories of a different life coming in and sending his hard earned confidence into a nosedive of confusion.
Alternatively, he could be a dance instructor (specialising in
pole dancingor ballet?) which I think could be pretty fun!LOOKING FOR: Honest to goodness anything you can think of, but possibly students or friends or university peers!
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: help me decide i have 500 ideas and all of them seem so fun and im struggling to pin it down. I really like the kind of 'reverse au' thing of Yuuri being a super successful gold medalist, but I'm honestly open to critique so yeah!

the closest uniting thing they have in common is... university, so I'm guessing there. also this kid 3-4 years yuuri's junior can do the confidence peptalk... he has a funny way of showing his support
