AU WORKSHOP - OCTOBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • As per our game-wide poll, we will be holding an application round in October and in November! After that, apps will resume their bi-monthly schedule. The game calendar has now been updated with the dates for this. • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. BLURB:

- Born and raised in Recolle to a moderately well-off family
- Participated in boy scouts as a kid, but forced to quit early after being mauled by a wolf during a camping trip
- Joined the military after graduating from high school and started to make a career out of it, achieving a rank which has yet to be decided
- Volunteered at a local Recolle orphanage where he made an Important decision
- Honorably discharged from the military and started work as a fitness trainer (Frederick's Fanatical Fitness Hour will make you hurt in places that couldn't hurt but dear god your body will be fantastic) to put himself through during the police academy
- Became a police officer and eventually became part of the horse chocobo mounted unit
- Adopted a kid named Gerome (journal tbd) from the orphanage and is now a single father
- Still works as a private personal fitness trainer for those who want to suffer put their physical conditioning above all else

LOOKING FOR:

Colleagues! Police department where you at? Also any former classmates or clients, or maybe people who enlisted with him would be great. Any other single parents that Frederick could talk to for advice would be amazing. I'm open to just about anything though, so feel free to hit me up!

Hello! Derek is CSI and has been at the Recolle Crime Lab for the past two years. Chances are, Derek will hate your Chocobo. Especially if he gets back Draco's hippogriff memory this month!

Oh my god. Hi. Togusa, from Ghost in the Shell, been a cop for six years now, and let me tell you how much shit you get to give Togusa.

Togusa took what everybody now remembers as Chocobo-back riding in the Academy and was terrible at it. The birds are awesome but he has the worst luck around them. He actually gets along well with military people, though, if that’s an angle you want to play with!

we can definitely play with both angles! Frederick is pretty adept at riding so he could probably keep trying to help him with chocobo back riding and keeps getting exasperated at his luck? but otherwise they just also have a pretty good relationship??

Fred. My favorite polite knight!

Only thing I can think of to establish pre cr might be through Penelope's family. She's the daughter of two army officers that both died during a car crash a few years ago. Perhaps he met her through them when she was younger? She's 22 now, so it's possible Frederick worked with them during his early days.

If not, she's at the gym a lot, and dating a gym rat. So that's a connection.

Tatsuo's a CSI with the crime lab. But he also might just... occasionally show up at the stables to pet the adorable chocobos???

i’d totally love a mentor/uncle relationship with fred— eren’s recently gotten into the military to follow his AIR FORCE DREAM and he’d probably beam like a thousand suns at veterans :’)

Kiyoshi only recently found out that he has a son...who is..19 years old...and is advice hunting as well, tbh.... maybe they could meet while looking for info for new parents and Kiyoshi forgets to mention his son's age at the beginning.. or that said son lives with his mother and not with Kiyoshi..
