Yes, if she were setting up another D&D campaign, Orihime would definitely make a jackhammer an available weapon even if it needed a source of electricity--or maybe it's a magic jackhammer! The chord is just for aesthetics and authenticity! It would certainly come in handy if she could use it on the thing that's chasing her!
