AU WORKSHOP - AUGUST Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Hey, I'd be up for that! I've got no idea what the actual familial term would be, but...it could be that she thought of going to Recolle since she's already got some family here? :3 Penelo is her cousin through marriage and Futaba is her cousin too! (So many cousins). So that would extend his already extended family quite a bit.

Lots of relatives is a great thing.

I don’t know either, the way familial terms works in English is a messy confusion. But the more incentive she has to go to this town in particular the better right? =D

Most definitely! She'll be happy to see relatives! She might not have been able to get to know him very much when she was young, but this could be a good opportunity.

Although I realize there might need to be a slight change in plans! Some other plotting has led me to need to make her dad Japanese and her mother some background of American (undecided). We could have her father and Koutarou be cousins??

Sure! That works for me! Since they don't have the surname, would that make her dad Koutarou's mother's nephew... (that is how it works right?) What would that make them to each other?

...I think she would just call him "cousin Koutarou" or "uncle Kourtarou" to make it simple LMFAO! I don't know if there's an official term for that...

Both works, and sounds cute. If there is an official term it's somewhere off there in the distance of mystery terms.
