AU WORKSHOP - JUNE Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. AU NAME: still deciding. Luke Green, maybe? Hunter Green? Something simple and cute and also way too on-the-nose
AU AGE: 17-18
AU OCCUPATION: student/camp counselor/full-time nerd tbh
BLURB:
-his parents are in the military, so his family has moved around a lot, but they're really super hopeful that this will be a medium-to-long-term home
-sort of a latchkey kid so he's pretty self-sufficient
-in his last year of high school; like okay he's a decent student but when you move around a lot you don't exactly get a consistent education
-works as a summer camp counselor
-foodie
-likes to cook (and by cook I mean experiment and it's not always pretty)
-sort of an active sporty guy? But in a way where he doesn't actually commit to any of them enough to join a team sorry
-basically his ideal occupation is if you combine Indiana Jones with Gordon Ramsay
-somehow both quiet and outgoing at the same time????
-unexpectedly can be a sarcastic shit
-spends weird amounts of time in high places
-often wanders off without telling anyone oops

THIS IS CUTE I'm here for it!! since regains started to happen in the game, Anya went from speaking fluent English to... fluent Russian and intermediate English and Japanese, so yeah she's been having A Time even though she still wanted to pursue being an idol. she will tell Link all about it but also be like "I JUST WANT MORE TIME TO LOOK AT STARS ;;"

YES DEFINITELY! here's what I've got for her so far but tl;dr she's rich as hell and her dad is probably ganondorf
I really like the idea of her having a long lost childhood friend who was either a Link or Exactly Like a Link, so he could either be that dude or remind her strongly of that dude, if you like!
And also she does a lot of sports and hanging out in high places and what if in Recolle she meets him while parkouring as Sheik, is what I'm saying

I see we're on the same page, because as soon as I read your AU for her my first thought was PARKOUR BUDDIES. Maybe with a bit of a competitive edge?? he hasn't been in town for more than a couple of years, but I could easily see him reminding her of a childhood friend (since the links are all pretty similar honestly) too

aka hi I play Bucky, he's a 16yo army brat and i'm perpetually looking for a pal he can have on base HAHAHA (if luke/hunter/whateverhisnamewillbe lives on base, anyway)
But otherwise, they probably have seen each other at school, since...Bucky will be entering his junior year after this summer. I think they could def know each other from there, if not straight up be friends. Bucky's also very sporty, so like. five bucks says you can't make it into the endzone without me tackling you for the pigskin, nerd

ANYWAY i haven't decided yet if they live at the base, but honestly it'd make sense. Either way, I'm loving this idea of Bucky calling him a nerd, him knowing its kinda true but also knowing Bucky is kind of a nerd too and quietly gloating about it as they throw footballs at each other's faces

LOOK BUCKY'S NOT A NERD, HE'S A COOL LINEBACKER WHO HAS HIS OWN BAND. linebackers with bands can't be nerds!!!! but yah i'm down for them beaning each other in the face with footballs constantly. can they do it without any context too--just pass each other by on the street and whip out some footballs to see who gets smacked in the face first
(also if he lives on base, he will have the rare privilege of actually knowing bucky by the name "Bucky", which is like. the name that gets used p much exclusively on base. out in the REAL WORLD, he usually goes by James. DO U WANT SPECIAL NAME PRIVILEGES, KIDDO?)
