I will say its better written than most things in that style but like the first book is a wild ride before she settles into making constructive fantasy plot

The first book I was like 'why does anyone like this'

Pops in here to say yes by all means bully Faolan instead he'd probably get a better rise out of him anyway, he's already grumpily glaring at people most of the time anyway, it wouldn't take much more to begin gnashing his teeth and quietly growling.
