Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. AU OCCUPATION: Bodyguard for Laurent Duvere
BLURB:
• Faolan O'Neill was born to a large family in Ireland. One of five children, he grew up with his brother and sisters, parents, and grandparents all in the same house. He speaks Gaelic, English, and French all fluently (the latter for business purposes).
• Faolan's family is well-known, well-liked, and being fairly well-off where they are from, he and his siblings were encouraged to follow their dreams as they so desired.
• Faolan is something of a dreamer himself, though he's lacking in direction. Once he was out of school, he joined a gym to work out his frustrations, gained some skills (and some muscles), earned the attentions of a recruiter, and the rest is history.
• Faolan is a good bodyguard, working his way up the ranks in multiple positions at multiple companies before earning himself a respectable position with the Duvere family. The Duvere's are a family of successful media mogul billionaires who own a French media company, CableCorp, one of the largest media companies in Europe.
• Faolan is first assigned as part of the group to watch over the heir of the company, Auguste. Through their close age and Auguste's easygoing personality, Faolan and Auguste get to know each other well, until when Auguste's younger brother Laurent is set to study Business at in Recolle University and Faolan is sent along with him to keep an eye out for him as his one and only bodyguard.
• Faolan lives and breathes his job, and barely knows how to relax in the time he has off. Mostly this is due to the fact that 90% of the time his life revolves around other people's lives and looking out for them.
• Faolan has a secret talent for music, which is one of the directions he was thinking of taking his career after school, though he couldn't quite figure out what he was to do with such a study either.
• Faolan is a kind man, gentle when he allows himself to be, moody and tempermental at other times (he is Irish...), but above all he is the best at what he does which is looking out for other people and keeping them safe. Not only through his physical ability to fight, but also through his strategic ability to approach any given situation intelligently.

LOOKING FOR: UHHHH anyone who might be trouble for his bodyguard role, anyone who might make that job easier and/or share tips/commiserate with him on the role, he is going to attend classes with Laurent even though he is not a student himself (for SECURITY) so anyone who is in the same college that he might see around, anyone that might pose Laurent a problem in general, anyone that wonders wtf he is doing following this guy around all the time HAHAHA, anyone that might attend the gym that Faolan would probably very rarely frequent, anyone Faolan might encounter if he went out jogging (his number one choice of exercising), other people to be grumpy about/protective of???, fellow music nerds, anything really!!! If you have other suggestions let's talk something out!!!

Being so serious just makes you a brilliant target for teasing you know.

THE WORST especially bc he would totally get riled up/flustered the more teasing he received which would only make teasing him even better.

We do wonder if Laurent is given to introducing his bodyguard to friends.

Severin would be curious about his untapped musical talent. (Or may just use that to try and get close to the man, who knows?)

WELL he would likely not go anywhere without a bodyguard since he is coming from such a high profile family! (Unless he were to sneak out but LET US NOT PLANT THAT IDEA IN HIS MIND :|) So it's almost a given that anyone associated with Laurent would have some contact with Faolan. Laurent probably(?) is a little more lax with the idea of him than you know. The stereotypical bodyguard, but he'd still wait to speak until he's been spoken to. Generally when he's out with Laurent that's Laurent's business, not his own, unless he's been invited to join. He's On The Job (he needs to force himself to remember that). BUT he can certainly be a little more lax in certain situations. And he'd definitely be awkward and flustered if his music ever came up. Tl;dr, a little background, Faolan is a bard who has something terrible happen in his life so he gives it up to become a spy/assassin/bodyguard for the king :')

Aww Faolan, maybe he might try to encourage Laurent to join sometime. Even bodyguard need some fun sometimes.

More reason to encourage his musical talents.

Myca is a friend of Laurent's, so they've probably had contact with Faolan?

Why hello, yes! Faolan is Laurent's personal security so he goes a lot of places with him, including to school. They probably would have run into each other while Faolan was shadowing Laurent there then? Faolan being Laurent's grumpy, overprotective shadow.
