AU WORKSHOP - JUNE Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? also I can't decide if Tuuri knows he actually speaks good English or not, I feel like she'd be like ???? of course Lalli can speak English he's been here forever, go on Lalli say something in English
or... totally oblivious and always 'translating' for him but that option is a little sadder

Maybe like a mix??? Like, if she thought about it, of course he would know English, but she doesn't think about it and a dozen years ago she was always having to help him understand people the few times she saw him out and about, so!! Here's what this means!!! And Lalli wouldn't be able to decide how he feels because hearing Finnish again is comforting and he doesn't have to talk to as many people BUT ON THE OTHER HAND...HECK OFF, TUURI!!

She speaks to Lalli in Finnish, Lalli speaks back to her in Finnish, she translates the gist of what he's saying to English for the third party in the room and it never occurs to her to just... use English instead...
