this is extremely tentative since i wouldn't be apping anytime soon regardless, but i figured i'd start planning things out ahead of time for once?!

AU NAME: Rose [insert a last name here?? probably]
AU AGE: prooobably somewhere between early to mid-20s
AU OCCUPATION: Mfw the canon closest equivalent would probably be a sex worker BUT UH basically anything shady and otherwise looked down upon would work, so I was thinking maybe like a hostess at a club? Or maybe a bartender at a shady bar, something like that.
BLURB:

• Recolle native, the eldest of a very large family of siblings (likely orphans, some might be blood related and some might not be)
• She remembers her mother dumping her at the orphanage though, so that contributed to a lot of her current mindset and world views
• With no one to rely on, it fell on her try and support her family. Given her age though, this mostly resulted in shady and likely illegal work when she was younger. She's definitely had run-ins with law enforcement.
• Now that everyone's (probably??) grown up and can take care of themselves, she has no real goals or motivations
• Very jaded and cynical, pretty hyper-aggressive, you'd never guess that she tried to do everything she could to support her family since her attitude towards them tends to be irritated at best too
• Dropped out of school early on to focus on finding work
• Really talented at singing and has a good ear for music, but she's never put it to use. Good luck trying to request a song from her though.

LOOKING FOR: Additional family members who'd be part of this horrible dysfunctional set of misfits?! The bigger and messier, the better tbh. Maybe anyone in law enforcement who've dealt with her before and/or know to keep an eye out for her in case she tries anything else illegal. Someone who might try to encourage her on going back to school or finding some kind of life goal in general would be good, whether they knew her previously or not. Possible past lovers/exes because she's probably not one for longterm positive relationships. Of course, with her hyper-aggressive attitude, friends/enemies/frenemies who got into fights with her would also be fun haha...
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: AGAIN THIS WOULDN'T ACTUALLY HAPPEN FOR A WHILE but if anyone needs that good old shady acquaintance who they don't know how they ended up knowing and question that they do, Zero here could be your gal!!

honestly i really do like the idea of sex worker zero LMFAO but 1) I DON'T WANT TO DO IT BADLY OR OFFENSIVELY, and 2) i really just can't do smut threads despite what zero and her canon entail HAHA... HA.....

I think not doing smut threads would be fine, I mean...it isn't like people are playing out sitting in class all day or ringing up groceries. Just her job stuff, has her meeting interesting people and gathering stories. The other point I'm less gung-ho about because yeah, that sure is a valid concern. It's kind of an awkward thing to research, too, but from what little I've seen it's actually interesting, and I think having it normalized as an occupation helps?

but yeah, i'm a little intimidated by finding good and reputable sources for researching it. still, i won't be apping for a while, so it definitely gives me time to do the research for it?! THINGS TO CONSIDER.

Hmmm, depending on the club she works at, Chloe sneaks into a few with fake IDs, so there's a remote possibility she's run into her. I doubt it would be a close association. She probably wouldn't know her well, though.

yeah, if i end up going with that for zero then it's definitely possible she'd recognize chloe just from seeing her around semi-frequently! they probably don't know each other well, but also zero definitely isn't the type to actually care about fake IDs and legal drinking age HAHA... if she ever found out the truth it'd just be SHRUGS AS LONG AS YOU PAY FOR THE STUFF

Oh, she's always the sort to pay her bills and not make trouble. Mind you, she's also the sort to not really go past getting drinks and enjoying the entertainment (since, until very recently, she was in a relationship and mostly loyal, if lonely due to distance.).
