AU WORKSHOP - JUNE Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Does the B&B by any chance have a reputation for like...being particularly relaxing or therapeutic or something along those lines? Because if she's recuperating from an injury I could definitely see her trying out the B&B as like an "okay I need to forcibly extract myself from all the stressors of things I honestly want to be doing and just make myself slow down and Actually Recuperate" kind of thing.

But I love the thought of the middle school thing too! It's very canonical for Carmen to sort of weirdly take kids under her wing and try to bring out the best in them so I'm all for it every opportunity I can get.

It does, actually. It's based on the traditional inn that her family runs in canon, which is sort of a get-away in the countryside for wealthy folks/old people. In the AU it just sort of went under because that's not really a workable business model in Japan anymore so the family moved it to America.

So, relaxing, with a good reputation as a place to seriously disconnect if need be.

Coincidentally the family friend who became her guardian in this AU is Japanese himself so it's also entirely possible that he'd heard of the place and tipped her off to it - possibly even that's why he suggested she come to Recolle to recuperate in the first place.

That's definitely an interesting thought!
