Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! God please don't trust John's judgment for anything??? He would, like, encourage KK to go into Poly-Sci or something since he likes to argue about issues (that is probably not what that means, John.)

They're going to be study buddies and he's also probably going to subject Karkat to his shitty tastes in movies and their memory regains aren't going to be awkward or weird at all.

karkat gets a degree in political science and hes like "this is nothing like john told me"

OH MY GOD LAUGHS. please though? the troll movies are hilarious and I want them both to just puzzle those out together. have I mentioned their friendship is important to me because it is.

throws a rock at august and impatiently waits. we can talk about it more later down the line too but I think study buddies + movie buddies is a super-good route. maybe they end up meeting bc they get stuck on a group project together for one of their shared classes or something if karkat isn't living in the dorms or anything

i am unsure about the dorms so far but i'll know for sure when it gets closer to fall BUT I DO THINK THEY NEED TO GET STUCK IN A GROUP TOGETHER EITHER WAY because that would be so funny??

GOD I'm so sorry that Karkat's everything will change when John shows up. We have a few fun little things planned for September that'll probably help with that too and you know that as soon as he's in game I'll just run screaming toward you just like FRANCY LET'S WRECK EVERYTHING

Also I just. Realized. Whenever he gets the memory of himself calling kk "beep beep meow" there is going to be zero chance of stopping him from suddenly laughing in karkats face because it's so funny to him, I'm so sorry

okay but francy consider them working at the movie theatre at the box office and arguing with customers about their movie choices/convincing people to see movies because they highly recommend them but they're all terrible choices. just Consider

HONESTLY THAT WOULD BE SO GOOD?? the managers keep trying to schedule them not together but they still keep ending up on the same shift and it's terrible every time.

two months later they'll be talking about some random bullshit like the weather and then john suddenly starts laughing hysterically and when karkat is like ??? john just whispers "beep beep meow" and karkat gets up and leaves

can't fire them because they're still technically doing their job even though they're also being horrible. let's let that disaster roll, unless we come up with a better job I actually like that a lot because it's funny and it gives them a good opportunity to have to deal with each other on a regular basis outside of being study buddies
