He probably does? I mean within the context of his canon he's supposed to be super smart, but of course, THAT IS WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF HIS CANON... which is like swords and horseback riding time. It's not like supernatural genius he's just a bookworm who enjoys tactics and strategy.

Hmm. Tutor sounds like a good idea, though I think she'd be too stuck up to actually work at the orphanage. She'll just be distantly judgmental and super jealous. Empty nest syndrome feels bad, man.

I'm torn between Amelia and Alma Medha; the latter has the opportunity for her to snap at someone that they're pronouncing her name slightly wrong when she regains it, haha.

maybe they meet at some kind of hobby store (akira frequents them)? then he can show him the ropes! or by chance they meet at a shady ass place because he gets himself into those kinds of situations (though they're generally ghostbuster-esque), but this time it has gone totally wrong like he gets locked in some place and Fawkes can save his butt with his lockpicking skills.

i'm also fine with them meeting by chance in another mundane way... like Akira gets pickpocketed and Fawkes can point that out or help retrieve what he lost? let me just throw dumb ideas into the wind as i rot in my bed.

Man that could be a really cute first meeting, if somebody pulled a dick move on Akira and took his wallet or something and Fawkes just kind of lowkey got it back for him, and their honest to god first initial contact was just this redhead guy swinging past his table in the Starbucks like "Here, I think this is yours."
