Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. ohhh man sounds like a triple whammy for CR, we gotta do it. gentle, steel-faced punks describes all of kiryu's friends. once you're friends with Kiryu you're stuck with his dadness forever, kid

I am so glad to hear someone else has played Yakuza tbh there's no real proper way to describe "my character does all this serious shit" and "also my character would definitely hire a chicken as a real estate manager and teach a dominatrix how to do her job" without sounding completely bonkers..... which I mean, is fair, but also Yakuza.

I was also like two seconds from saying "what if working at the club" but a 16yo salt mine with often poor social skills would probably not be a good idea there. But I'll take dad 4 lyfe happily and enthusiastically.

Yakuza is just. Yakuza. I feel like "bonkers" is probably the best descriptor you could ever give it without getting into just what makes it bonkers. Trust us on this when we say that everything is crazy.

Kiryu will keep the salty children in line while Majima gets the sweet ones, that sounds about right... honestly, Kiryu's the type to volunteer and help people so he could easily have been doing some outreach for kids thing and voila there you have it

Exactly. Like, it's crazy awesome and made me cry? But also intensely, intensely crazy. And will teach you to play mahjong if you're not careful.

That... yeah that sounds about right, tbh. And some kind of outreach or volunteering for kid sports teams and other miscellanea really suits him.

Also it's funny because both Kiryu and Majima look a little bit like they'd fit right in with the coach of the team Koushuu and Eijun play for in canon.

The fact that it's got realistic, actual factual things is just kind of the cherry on top of the crazy sundae. And the mahjong is the sprinkles.

Yeah, he'd be all about community outreach and guiding kids to a good (non criminal) life!! ever the dad, our kiryu

for real tho, what better way to get a real karaoke experience than singing along with your favorite lovable criminals... I love these dumb games so much. I can't wait for people to see the wonderful crazy regains they're gonna get.

... tbh I wouldn't put it past Kataoka. Eijun calls him "boss" and other shit, sssssso.

I really hope that there's some sort of karaoke post at some point and he's on that shit, tbh. The perfect example of the craziness.

So weird. In a totally good way, though. Like the kind of dad who carefully carries two six-scoop ice cream cones through a crowd so that everyone can enjoy a sweet treat.

If this turns out to be a thing I'm saying it now; totally called it. maybe he's an ex-yakuza.....

Honestly if no one has made one yet, I am ready to give Recolle the karaoke place it deserves. Karaoke is an essential Yakuza pastime. I can't be expected to be Judgement Kazzy without Judgement!!!

I don't know whether to laugh at the ridiculousness of that image or just. Tell him he's a good dad, a good man. Good job yakudad.

You will be the first person I notify if it winds up that he's an ex-yakuza... he's an alumnus of their high school and had a baseball career but that's all we know.

it's 100% a real sub-story, I could list off a dozen and they would all be more ridiculous than that.... yakuza is incredible. Kiryu is the world's best father, ok. He will do anything for his kids. Including fight the CIA.

the yakuza takes people from all walks of life I'M JUST SAYIN'....

~~me, upon getting into recolle: so I have a few locations in mind /unrolls list of minigames~~ AS MUCH AS I'M KIDDING... a karaoke place will be the first thing I add along with Kiryu's shady real estate office, these two things are the essence of Yakuza. crime and ridiculous minigames.

Jesus Christ I missed that one. I can't believe Yakuza is the gift that keeps fucking giving. Thank u based god for this wonderful dad who is out of his mind.

I MEAN. YOU... YOU ARE NOT WRONG. God now I can't get it out of my head, thanks. If we get a Kataoka here (fat chance) he needs to join the yakuzas in their circle.

Honestly a place like recolle just screams the need for ridiculous minigames. They fit right in, right? Right???? Besides that'll definitely bring in the CR opportunities for everybody lbr.

Yakuza 3 is incredible......

I will keep an eye out for him tbh ~~There's already a character in Yakuza 5 who's a former baseball player...~~

Absolutely I hope you're ready for every minigame because... I had to list out as many as I could for this app... so they're sure as hell not going to waste!!
