SO HOW ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL CLASSMATES? Because really, it's not Hinoka without a bumbling idiot to momfriend over. Someone who appreciates that enthusiasm for doing the right thing but who can help him rein it in, basically.

Depending how far back they go, what if she used to have long hair, but cut it short the first time to make it easier for him to talk to her, and just sort of ended up keeping it that way?

glorious, I know... BUT OH I guess hinoka's why yata's a regular at her family's bakery then, too. I just imagine takumi and yata bickering and making a scene until hinoka rolls in on her motorcycle and they both shut up immediately
