whoops I forgot to elaborate that this is Boba sup

HMM well even if Yato doesn't particularly like someone, chances are pretty good that he'd still talk to them when he sees them, like in a "what trouble are you stirring up now" kind of way! Or just to bug/harass the in general lmao so. It shouldn't be a problem starting up interactions on Yato's end even if their pre-Recolle relations were not the greatest. So I'm down for negative CR! Maybe they picked fights with each other, or got sucked into their friends' fights...

He'll ease up a little when he finds out about the amnesia though and might even try to help kickstart some of Dylas's memories, because right now Dylas would be the only person Yato knows here from his hometown... It can be a weird seesaw between positive and negative CR in the end I guess lmao

I was going to start listing things Dylas might know about Yato from their childhood/teen years but lmfao Dylas forgot it all anyway sooo you can tell me about anything else that comes to mind about Dylas instead!! OH, and I've been working on the assumption that there's quite a bit of greenery/outdoorsy areas in Yato's hometown... I hope that works for you?!

Okay, that sounds good! Yeah, I hope Dylas punched Yato a lot, they both look like they deserve to get punched a lot.

But that sounds like fun for me! I don't want to give a short, boring reply to your long and thoughtful one, but I'm still sort of ironing out how I want his complete AU history to go, so let's see...

-He was definitely involved in fishing competitions so the hometown has to have a river or be near the ocean
-Dylas struggled in classes like chemistry, math, business, and history, but did alright in English/writing, foreign language, and biology.
-He was involved with a sports team at some point in high school. I keep leaning towards swimming or track so that there's an individual component to it as well.
-He was made fun of a lot for being tall and having a weird last name, tbh
-He definitely got sent to the principal's office a few times? Detention-goer, right here
-If he was ever caught at an out of school event, he was always with his older sister. She raised him, so she has at least eighteen years on him.

Stuff like that!

I also hope they punched each other a lot?? Yato is just an average height (5'9") but especially in high school he would've been pretty... businesslike? I guess about picking fights... "We don't like each other so this is just how it's gonna be," etc. etc. I've had him down as being a strong fighter, probably on the side of methodical, but Dylas's size advantage is real lmao so he probably found fighting Dylas a pain

A river/the ocean/both sounds fab! Yato probably has a dumb nickname for Dylas that I will decide on when the time comes... And he was probably sent to detention a lot too so hi detention pal

Should I assume that Yato knows about Dylas's sister's illness? Since Yato would've been gone from town when Dylas was 19 or thereabouts

Oh, this is fun. I like this. Dylas would definitely be glad to fight with someone even if his sister would scold him for it, especially if it's a pain and he can come out on top from time to time. Dylas is a fist-fighter in canon so I'd assume he's pretty scrappy and enduring in a brawl. In fact, his best trait is probably how long it takes to get him to go down.

Call him Big D.

And yeah, that'd be fine with me? There'd be rumors anyways. He'd know about the bus crash, too, though if the town is too small for buses, it could have happened while Dylas was out of town. I'm not sure what illness it is, and I don't want to romanticize any real illness so I have no plans to call it anything other than "she's pretty sick and will be for a while."
