It's a small enough age difference that I'm sure they can still absolutely have gotten to know each other (to start anyway) from school. Maybe a shared club? Chiyo likes art, right? Do you think she might also like photography?

Although, I don't plan to handwave him meeting Yato. That's gonna happen live. For everyone to see and be subsequently embarrassed over. Good luck....

yes, she does like art and photography and would peak in on the photography club every now and then but probably wouldn't be a regular, so that could be an option! her extracurriculars are art club and yearbook, but her interests are on digital art and animation in this au.

hmm, what else would yukine do after school?

she has all the common sense to spare. please think about your future, yukine... yato is a good guy but please don't emulate his hot mess of a life.

omg good i hope she'll be able to witness this reunion in all its glory. or at least hear about it

Yukine is more interested in photography, but he would definitely still be drawn (get it) to the art club. I'm sure he's probably a regular in both even if he's less skilled in art because he honestly just enjoys it. It's nice. . .

Right now, it looks like skateboard, hang around the coffee shop kashuu works at, cat-spotting (looking for cats & taking photos), and play video games. He's.... very average for now. He tends to stay out loud and get into trouble as well.

I figure he won't be a punk for too long!! Because, like you say, who wants to be like yato. Also i figure enough love will snap him out of his self-destructive funk anyway.

omg i forgot to say something about the last name. IF YOU WERE DOWN FOR IT, they could also be cousins? Huhuhu. He's here with his maternal aunt, but there's nothing to say that his dad doesn't have siblings with kids. :)! BUT THAT MIGHT ALSO BE TOO MUCH SO IDK.

i am 100% for having them be cousins! chiyo's au brother is rin from free! and i just cleared it with rin's player, so if you're down, i'm down!

if they were cousins, that would give chiyo more reason for her to be into photography because she'd want to connect with yukine in some way. she'd be very worried about his punk behavior and try to be encouraging for anything that won't land him straight into trouble. she'll try to bob ross him with photography and art and cats.

chiyo visits some newborn kittens and takes pictures of them that she'd be happy to send him, too. kittens are healing

aaaaaaaaaaaaaa this sounds so perfect. bonding via art and photography is gonna be the best. just please understand that he's going to get in a lot of stupid trouble before he gets his act together. sweats. he's well meaning most of the time.

she is accepting of his trouble-making ways. it's just worrying. he's her precious cousin.... she's going to be a little more savage to yato if she ever realizes yato is part of the reason lmao i'm so sorry

but she knows yukine is a good kid at heart, and that's what matters the most!! every time she sees a cat, yukine will get a picture text

OH BOY, i absolutely hope that happens. Don't worry, I'll make sure she finds out!!
