- Family is Greek, moved to America when he was just a baby.
- His parents were well-off enough to give him the best in education, but they were also both incredibly stubborn and opinionated: they loved each other deeply and fought constantly. He went off to college in Europe partly to get away from them, and partly because he wanted to see as much of the world as he possibly could.
- Since then, he's lived and studied in something like fifteen different countries, and is conversational in almost as many languages.
- Moved to Recollé to teach because it's about time he made his way back to America and started trying to encourage the next generation toward the stars.
- He is really, really excited about space.

History is pretty cool, too! They can totally talk about the history of exploration and people's understanding of space and stuff.

i can offer a student and space nerd!!! jade's probably taking rider's class HAHA, she's planning to go into an astronomy related field, and a huge overachiever who is always TRYING HER HARDEST AT SCHOOL. she's also never been outside recolle before so she would...probably ask about all his travels, tbh. oops.

Not oops at all - if you get him started telling stories, he may in fact never stop. A willing audience would be lovely!

I can offer this lady here as a possible close acquaintance!.She can help with research since she's a big bookworm and loves to read anything so if you need someone to go through pages of pages of something she's your girl. Especially since she doesn't want to disappoint anyone and will carry through her promise 110%.

Ainsley is a year older than him so they would have known each other growing up? She would have done her best to be his friend as kids but happily settled as someone who knew him well when they got older. Would have made it a point to search him out and speak with him, talk to him, ask how he was, and etc. Really too trusting of people she's known all her life since she can't imagine anything bad happening in their home city so there's that future angle.

I actually wasn't planning on having him have grown up in Recollé specifically - I was vague about that last night and I'm blaming it on a migraine rather than take full responsibility, but he doesn't look back much: even moving back to the country he grew up in, he'd want to go live somewhere he hadn't been before.

That said, he is a very gregarious person and will happily have struck up a friendship with anyone in range as soon as he moved in. Especially if they were willing to help him with paperwork, which he really super hates.

I am only somewhat familiar with FGO (read a translation of the Zero Accel event thing for Reasons, have poked around the edges of stuff), but I will gladly welcome any and all 'verse mates!

I think there is a distinct possibility that an AU of Alexander the Great has some interest in military history. How does she feel about strategy games~?

Robin would be more into the history aspect, but the stars are a fascinating thing.

ngl both my boys would be totally fascinated with astronomy. NERDS, UNITE. But Mikleo's super set in being an archaeologist, though he wouldn't mind chatting with Iskandar to keep up to date on what's going on in the world of astronomy.

Nico would be a little harder since he's a high school student, but WE'LL FIND A WAY...?

Honestly, if he's friends with Sorey, anyone Sorey is close to is also considered his friend, because that's just the kind of person Iskandar is.

He might run into Nico at the game store? He mostly plays strategy games but will also try out just about anything.

i am here for fellow teacher shenanigans! liz is the resident babysitter for adults when she's not drunk as a skunk... so! i would love to have them cross paths. elizabeth's au daughter is jade harley, who is 100% hyped for college and loves space. so, liz may stop by to get involved with the class because they're both space geeks.

please come camping with their family sometime and starmap.

Is he teaching at university or high school? Because Naoto is taking SOME college courses but not many

He's at the university level, but it's certainly a class accessible to sufficiently advanced high-schoolers: he's not what you'd call strict about grading so long as you show sufficient enthusiasm for the subject, and there is a certain amount of leeway built into the syllabus for him to spend time going off on philosophical tangents or getting distracted by telling stories about stuff he's seen and done. (Some students make a game of seeing if they can drag him off-topic - he's aware that they're playing him, but he lets it happen to some degree because he likes to tell stories.) So if Naoto wants, say, a kind of downtime class that will give her college-level science credits and also time to organize her notes from her other classes, she's quite welcome!

I don't know whether Okita and Rider would cross paths but I hope Iskandar has his own TV show ala Neil deGrasse Tyson...

a tv show might be a bit much for a character just starting out in the game...

...and I haven't incorporated the concept into any planning thus far...

...but I have just decided as of this moment that Iskandar's introduction into the game is going to include the debut of a Crash Course-style Youtube webseries in which he talks about space.

jake loves astronomy!! he's definitely taken the class or currently taken it. he's a very friendly, outgoing student who loves to participate and go above and beyond so i think he'd stand out a little. and he's traveled all over so he'd be happy to trade stories or just hear about places (while totally going "omg did you see the news about that new star?" etc)
