Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. AU NAME: Riko Sakurauchi
AU AGE: 16-17
AU OCCUPATION: Student, doujinshi artist
BLURB:

Riko was born in Tokyo and is a middle child. Her dad is a salaryman and her mom used to be a secretary in a Japanese corporation but quit to become a housewife. Nothing out of ordinary. Also, her siblings are very important to her.
She had a best friend in primary school, but they moved out and Riko lost contact with them. Since then, she hasn't made any friends.
One of her teachers in secondary school made her take part in a speech competition, but on the day of the contest, she was so stressed, made a mistake and then fainted.
She's taking part in a six months exchange program between her high school in Tokyo and Recollé and has just arrived in the city. Since it's a home stay, she's gonna live with Yoshiko Tsushima and her family.
Secretly, she's drawing doujinshi and would like to draw her own manga one day. Her alias is Lily and not even her family knows about this. Her first doujinshi involved a very popular mystery series and gained national recognition.
Leaving her home was a tough decision to make, but she wanted to do something entirely different to gain new experiences which would help her grow as an artist. Before leaving for Recollé, she let her fans know that she won't be making any public appearances for a while, but she's going to continue drawing.
That said, she likes detective stories a lot. She also has a knack for finding lost things. Could these two be connected...?
Riko's also quite fond of love stories and has a secret collection of love novels (some of them are really bad, too).

this is so cute..... i love this au so much goodness.

i personally just love throwing all the idols around together, especially between love live and idolmaster, so anya can definitely reach out and be a new friend if you're interested!

Of course I am! ♥ Idols should stick together, yes \o/ Even if they don't know they're idols...I see that Riko would be older than Anya, but please take care of her, she's new and lost.

oh 100%! Anya doesn't... pay attention to age at all tbh. she's lived in Recollé all her life so she'll be happy to take Riko around to all the cute cafes and nice places

I'm all for cute cafes and so is she...half of Riko's small gifts she brought with herself from Japan will go to Anya then, haha c:

...so I have a couple of dumb propositions here:

-Silver was a pretty dedicated fan of her doujin before she moved over to Recolle and Riko has caught him reading it on his laptop/tablet at at least one point before

-they have never actually met but Riko still makes her doujin and leaves them in some inconspicuous part of the school where Silver takes them and leaves behind tens or twenties and one day they'll finally run into each other

-Riko knows him as that kind of sketch dude in Yoshiko's gang but hey if Yoshiko's a dork maybe he is too right, maybe

-some combination of the above

idk hi I found Riko's stuff to be really cute

HELLO oh my god all of these are so good, you made it difficult to pick just one so LET'S COMBINE, she could've heard about him from Yoshiko but they could meet for the first time in school like you suggested? And she'd be so happy to have a fan here, in a faraway land...!!

Also, it's good to see Yoshiko's gang growing lmao

hello! i haven't watched love live sunshine yet but

chiyo is about the same age as riko and is also a budding artist. she also loves romance novels/love stories of all kinds, so they could be cute friends that way?

i don't know if chiyo would have read riko's doujinshi since mystery isn't chiyo's usual genre of choice, but she would probably know of it?

Riko could notice her draw something and become her fan on the spot! Maybe Chiyo's works could give her the push to draw something less mystery more romance-y, too...!

ranko's actually studying fine art at the university and is passionate about illustration (and writing books, and browsing the internet for nerdy stuff) so she'll definitely be coming into contact with riko's doujinshi!! also cr-via-yoshiko...because that's gonna be special

She would be so surprised if Lily somehow came up in a conversation. Also, she'll probably become very interested in Ranko's studies and ask her everything about classes she's attending...for no reason, of course c: cr-via-yoshiko is always special...

Koushuu is going to wind up participating in Yoshiko's shenanigans, so I foresee him and Riko meeting and winding up interacting a lot. Also, pitching CR for my batterymate - Eijun is a big shoujo nerd/romantic and Koushuu's childhood friend/is going to get wrestled by Yoshiko, and that'll be even more reason for the idols and the sports to get to know one another.

First of all, rip Eijun...
Second of all, rip Riko SHE'S SO BAD AT THIS GANG STUFF, this is gonna be beautiful.

Koushuu is a pack creature even if he's cranky as hell, so it'll be. Hilarious to put them all in the same space. Weird gang going on here.
