I think there are plenty of avenues he could have met Jade tbh either via being youtube kids or also Anya is one of Hiro's first friends in Recollé which means being friends with Dave by proxy which would also probably mean he's met Jade early in his time in the city. Maybe like they were internet friends first and he just accidentally realized he and Jade lived in the same city and then Jade was stuck with him 5ever goodbye
