Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. really, if fashion designer kanji sees kurama dressed badly in any public place (restaurant, cafe, seeing kurama dance horribly somewhere, etc), he's definitely going to get some Looks. they could bond over talking about mother's day gifts... i can see kanji and kurama maybe having a good retrospec conversation and then realizing his HORRIBLE MISTAKE if they ever decide to meet up?? Yeah, that'd be awesome! I'm having Kiryu realize his stuff kind of slowly since he's in and out of The Family a lot in canon but he's definitely on his way to getting into the yakuza life and was in fact in charge of like, the largest yakuza family in his version of Japan at one point... they will kindred spirits in crime B)

he does! and I'm so down for some kind of business partnership, he'd definitely be willing especially if they knew each other! honestly he might still ask him to spar sometimes bc he doesn't have enough good partners and he needs people who can kick his butt.

please support his endeavors he swears he is doing things right. for now. until he starts trying to put a mafia together but it's fine.

jade's seventeen but they could maybe know each other from high school? jade also grew up in recolle and her dad used to be a delinquent, sorta, on his own before he got with her mom, so she's familiar with that way of life. he's a detective now, but she definitely believes people can find thrills elsewhere, so she'd...probably be That Kid, but she's also the type to try and understand where someone is coming from, so there are a couple of avenues! her mother is also an artist so i do think jade would have a fondness for any kind of art, even if it's vandalism... YOU CAN PRACTICE YOSHIKO KEEP GOING, JADE BELIEVES IN YOU!!

Ahhhhh a Lutece twin! I've nothing to pitch at you in terms of potential CR (yet), I just wanted to say it's such a treat to see Rosalind coming into the game! I - honestly can't think of how these two would ever come into contact, but I'm down for ping-ponging the two of them off each other if you are!

BLURB:
- Born and raised in Recolle! His dad's a good and honest cop who died on the job protecting him, so he wants to follow in his footsteps and become an ally of justice, just like him! He wants!! to protect!!! THIS CITY!!!!!!
- (actually also just wants to find the people who killed his dad but anyway)
- That also means he had to help his sweet and perfect widow mother take care of his siblings. He's very family-oriented and probably wants kids of his own before he turns 30 or something.
- Lives alone in the shittier side of town but visits his mother and his siblings often.
- He wants to be a detective or something, but god, he's so dumb. He's so dumb. He had to repeat his senior year in high school. He didn't go to college so he can support his mother and siblings. Also, he couldn't pass the entrance exam anyway.
- Hot-blooded, temperamental, energetic and reckless, but probably less violent and prone to swearing than in canon. Gotta keep his act clean for the kids!
- Since he grew up with a lot of friends and a loving family, he's less lonely. Also, less prone to suddenly leaving everything for a life of crime.
- He's adorkable, bright and thoughtful, but he also wants to look cool and tough, so he's often at odds with himself and it's hilarious.
- He dyed his hair because IT'S COOL, but he doesn't want tattoos because he's a weenie. :(
- Grew up watching superhero shows, collecting trading cards and playing video games. He still does all of these.
- Stupidly athletic. Was probably part of a varsity team in, but not sure... which one... I'm thinking baseball.
- A DDR champion for 2 years in a row at one point.
- Doesn't know how to ride a skateboard. Knows how to drive a car, at least...
- Still can't talk to women.
- He was probably assigned to a case that involved a strip club at one point but blew his cover because he saw a nipple and squealed. Like, literally.
- Don't call him Misaki. Don't call him Missy. Don't call him short, don't call him cute, don't call him chihuahua, dON'T LOOK DOWN ON HIS PRECINCT
- Sometimes forgets guns are a thing, so he ends up punching and kicking things more often than he should.
- An ally of justice and peace, but also teaches kids to beat up bullies. So... maybe scratch peace.
- Judges people for their crimes. like if you're going to steal something, at least make it ten grand? wtf
- Believes in the Power of Friendship

LOOKING FOR:
- His AU mom? He's a mama's boy who thinks she can do no wrong.
- Siblings!!! He's the best big brother. He can be your pesky little brother too.
- Colleagues and mentors. I want everything: people who'll keep him in line, people who will save him from his idiocy, and That One Officer he looks up to? Please. He'd be their quintessential fanboy. Or maybe your character was on his father's team and he blames you for his death idk.
- People who look up to him or people he might have helped out at any point in time because of his Hero Complex.
- Childhood friends, former classmates, etc. JUST. FRIENDS. He can be friends with literally anybody.
- People whom he probably clash with given his temper, values and Strong Sense of Justice.
- Trolls because he's so dumb. He's so dumb...
- People who might have had a crush on him or vice versa? But he's hopelessly simultaneously shy and oblivious, so any previous established relationships are out of the question.

AHH KIM i'm so glad you're apping fish prince!! i don't think i'm that comfortable with kanji being that young and having a previous relationship, but i'd love for these two to be friends some other way! or kanji can just be a huge fan...

If he has any interest in community events, he probably would've seen Minako around since she works in that a lot. And she would've offered to help him with college stuff too uwu!

i'm fully cool with it if you'd prefer not to go this route but as a possibility: they could first meet if kanji sees him in passing and develops a kind of stupid puppy crush on him from afar like WHO IS THAT REDHEAD I GOTTA MEET THEM and maybe even thinks that kurama is a lot younger than he is? and then they actually get to talking and kurama's like haha no i'm 23 and it's Awkward except that then they end up kind of weird affectionate friends from it anyway
