AU AGE: 14
AU OCCUPATION: he is a smol middle-school child
BLURB:

- because there are no espers in this au, mob grew up a nice, normal, non-esper child! which is exactly what he wanted to be in canon, which you'd think would solve all his problems, but no... ritsu gets beat up by high-schoolers anyway and mob ends up pushing some dude in front of a car, whoops, that's... not much better.
- unlike canon, he kind of remembers it all, and being a smol child who isn't liable to make incredibly intelligent decisions (and through a series of very unfortunate misunderstandings), he ends up believing his bro didn't make it out of the hospital and runs away from home in the aftermath. and that's why to this day, his brother ritsu esperimental still can't have nice things.
- he's adopted by arataka reigen saltsplash after an even bigger series of misunderstandings, and eventually [ things happen ] and they relocate to recolle. probably. we're still ironing that out, i think.
- things hit a pretty low point! mob probably stopped talking for a very long while during his period of transition from fuck-all land to recolle, and his concerned very-new parent may tried a few things to get him to be less miserable. one way was introducing him to sign language. by the time mob could bring himself to talk and start opening up again (a dog may or may not have helped), he'd let his silences lapse and use simple sign language to get his thoughts across as a coping method.
- but yeah, recolle happens, so here he is.
- anyway, he's the awkward transfer middle-school student who can't make friends and is somewhat terrified of touching people, because he kind of pushed some dude in front of a car once, and yeah. but he's getting better! not about the car thing, but he is slowly pulling his life back together the way only kids know how, and that's by sucking at math and not having any useful interests in life.
- probably works part-time at reigen's total scam of a homeotherapy place as the counter kid, and spoils reigen's attempts at keeping up his mystique.
- i can imagine him as the kid on retrospec who keeps necroing old posts because he only comes up with something to say two weeks later.

LOOKING FOR:

- are you a middle schooler? please make cr with mob by not being his friend, so that we can then slowly make them into friends... mob is spacey and quiet in class, but he's a good, sincere kid who is failing math class. he's very relatable to most children. probably. also is relatable a word...?
- are you good at math? be his tutor. despair at how little children retain information about numbers. rejoice when he knows more than just addition and subtraction. stare deeply into the abyss when you realize reigen's probably never paying you.
- are you an adult who wants to be popular with children? (unsure) look no further, this is a very impressionable child and will be very impressed with you, even if the most impressive thing you can do is pat your head and rub your stomach while chewing gum at the same time. mob will be very impressed.
- are you very into social media? of course you are. so is mob. he's probably necro'd every one of your old posts before the way only small children who never read posting dates can.
- do you own a dog? your dog probably loves mob. and mob loves your dog. make this happen
- do you know ritsu? better yet, do you like drama? this fam reunion thing is probably going to end as well as you'd expect, so get front row seats i guess.

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: anyway i don't know what's happening right now, but i'm pretty weak. if you need a family member or something, hit me up.

Kurt does come from money himself (from the entertainment industry), so perhaps they could have known each other as kids? Kurt's also a college freshman now and also struggling with going against his rich parents' expectations, maybe that's something they can bond over. He could try to help her on the socializing front!

so what if she was fostering him for a while (somewhere between 13-14 maybe?) and he kind of started warming up to her before deciding one day that she'd never actually permanently want her around (whether he's actually correct or not, he jumped to conclusions because Issues) so he took off for like a week and got rehoused/brought back to the orphanage/etc and now he's stuck between visiting her frequently because he likes her a lot and has cats for her and being a bitter bitch in her direction

Like I said; Robin's in the middle of changing careers. He recently stepped down from his position as a military chaplain in an overseas medical unit (think M.A.S.H), and he's shifting toward work in religious archives and partnering with local libraries.

Much of his personality remains the same as it is in canon, though.....so he ends up borrowing most of the stuff he's supposed to be putting away.

...I feel like this needs to happen just so when Goofy remembers he's a dog Tony can be the Dr. Cox to Goofy's JD and constantly refer to him as different dog names. He's a giver, what can he say.

THAT ALL SAID Goofy is in Tony's age range....ish? Maybe they did the same summer camp or basketball league growing up???

Or for extra terrible maybe Goofy was the one who originally took Tony's portfolio photos when he was just starting out trying to sell his books. They have a bond now. That bond probably involves Tony dragging Goofy out for drinks and casino games. Time to make the pure half of Disney sin a little...

I'm so glad someone is thinking of playing Aang here, and I really dig that AU! Kurt's in college, but he can possibly be a good influence for him! I can imagine a very dorky friendship... Also he spent his teen years costarring in a tv show if Aang would have caught it.

Thanks! This is my first time trying this AU/Memloss thing so I'm really glad I'm doing something right with my flailing rambling up there!

He so will call her manly, she can be the manliest of them all!

Also who needs words when they can just flail and talk with hands and feet at each other, there's no way something is ever going to be misunderstood like that! (He'll be either really, really happy but also flustered at being called a good person or get it all wrong and think it's his villain charme at work.)
