So Mako did go through HS-- he dropped out of college. But he was a football/soccer player in HS (opposite seasons, totally doable). He also boxes in his spare time.

He's dirt poor, so no horse, unless she offered it to him at some point!

Yay! And yeah, he sighs and complains and then does whatever people need him to do anyway because he's just a good kid that way but that also feels like a little brother kind of thing, especially if the older brother is a punk. He'd have relied on him a lot after their father died for sure while also trying to look after Misaki if he needed it (and of course after their mom). He'd cover for him, too, depending on how much of the punk side Mao got to see before Misaki moved out. If he was sneaking in at night, Mao was definitely there to open a window for him and tell him he was never doing it again until the next time.

He'd call him Misaki if that's what Misaki wanted, or we can come up with a nickname since it seems like Misaki doesn't like his name? Either way, though, yay brothers! And he definitely grew the last bit since Misaki moved out so every time they see each other now Misaki gets reminded that he's the little one, so there.

Oh gosh yes, please teach him how to relax, Dave. That sounds like it could be fun, and I'm definitely interested in having as many musical types around him as possible. Bring on the turntables!

Sorry for the late response, I would love this! I'm thinking Kon moved away when he was in about 4th grade, so maybe they shared a few classes up until then and then kept in touch with typo riddled texts and emails.

Haha she sounds great and also I'm so sorry for Kon? I mean. You already know. I'm excited to throw him at her, also Rin's sister YES. I'm so excited for just dumb teens hanging out!!!

YES okay this is official, it's happening, very first red carpet event in the city, he's asking her to be his date and don't worry Chiyo, you could not possibly do anything to embarrass Kon that Kon can't do to himself.

appears with new backstory, it's also possible he knows Mao as that kid whose dad got killed orrrrrr he might even know Mao's brother and by association, Mao? Or Mao's mom, who is a teacher at the school so actually he could easily have given Mao a little bit of a hard time for being a teacher's kid on top of everything else. It'd be really unsatisfying because it's just... a fact... so Mao wouldn't care, but it'd make him an easy target and probably put him in the "lovingly bully on," category. (Alternatively/additionallhy/I think it'd be fun: teach him chess, Mizuki!)

YES. We talked about some things before but I don't remember if we decided anything for sure. Are we feeling established friends beforehand? He definitely kept up with a few school friends, so he could easily have been one of them.

i'm considering having memories of her be fuzzy, but definitely existent!

at the very least, i'd love to have it so they DO know each other/makoto knows he's got amnesia from the injury. maybe minako could be mentioned at some point or yuki happens to mention having a sister/twin

OR... idk he could have kept a small family picture of him, her, and their parents in his wallet and makoto catches a glimpse of it? >x>

That would be a ridiculously cute way to meet, him having been the one to save her dog years ago...

Alternatively, her dog could be friends with that dog, lol. I'm more than okay with him learning she knows Minako... and talking about his sister with her could help his au memory hurry up and come back.

Oh! Well, she just acquired this dog actually. It's a graduation gift, haha, not the same one Chie adopted in canon. Blame Yu for the name, a pug named Al Capug.

He's likely going to try putting a fedora on the dog at some point.

Yato has probably needed to rent nice clothes for his myriad odd jobs/interviews over the years (he's been in Recolle for three) so maybe he and Marcell can have a casual business relationship? If Marcell would ask, Yato would gladly tell him about whatever new job he has lined up, etc...

the irony of Yukine's parent knowing Yato's every move while Yukine is still searching for him just makes me laugh tbh

BUT!!! Them having no prior relationship for maximum judgment sounds like fun too so honestly I could swing either way

established friendship works fantastic with me. he's two years younger than makoto, so we can work something along the lines of senpai-kouhai friendship... on the other hand, makoto could have babysat or tutored him a few times

he's not the smartest of the bunch, but he could have been in need of money and teaching kon how to study and keep organised to get all his assignments done is something he could have taught him :9

here i am, happy to offer you another piano player buddy! makoto doesn't really do much for that as a hobby, despite replaying songs he had to study, but it might be good to know someone else who plays it?

She's likely to get frustrated (or bored) and back off before too long if she's getting stonewalled on a subject. Probably for the best most of the time, lol.

whatever you would like to work with! if makoto catches sight of the family picture he'll immediately know it's minako, so it all depends on how you guys want to play out the twins knowing each other? i think figuring out that first would help us out

and whether or not makoto and minato know each other before he's apped in or after

Well I say he's a punk but he was probably doing things like STAKEOUTS and saving kittens from trees and getting hurt a lot from trying to teach bullies a lesson... He was a very active kid so trouble also tends to follow. Oops. It sounds like this whole family would just be very, very supportive of each other. Misaki would look after Mao and his mom a lot too, and cover for Mao if he needed it!

why are they such good boys

I think Misaki would let Mao call him Misaki! He's just trying to avoid getting called nicknames he hates... But ah, Mao's growth spurt. He's proud, but also a little envious...

This is an interesting backstory for Minato and a lot to unpack! I see from the thread above that his memories of Minako will be fuzzy but existent, but I'm curious about the amnesia aspect in general. In what ways are you planning to have him recover his lost memories? Are you planning to have them recovered alongside recovering his actual memories from the game, or will he not be recovering his AU memories at all? With Minako being in game as well, will she be working to help her twin brother as well or are you and Minako's player going with the route that Minato's essentially been glitched as a "new version" of Minato and working with that? What made police stick him in Recollé in particular?

As per the Retrospec guide, though Minato will be going by Yuki Kurusu the name on the app would still show up as Minato Arisato! Would that impact him as well seeing a name he wouldn't recognize?

Mostly these are all questions to consider when writing your AU in your app that crossed my mind from a feedback perspective. In terms of CR the only thing I have right now is Luke knows Minako though not well enough to know of Minato just yet so that could be an interesting approach as well. If you have any questions about the game or would like some guidance in expanding Minato's AU please feel free to reach out and ask! As this is one of the first cases of apping in a character who's been in-game with a fresh backstory, it could be tricky and we don't mind assisting!

His store would have been open for about two months or so ICly, but he'd be happy to have a regular customer this soon! He's very meticulous and depending on how much the clothes need to fit might even ask if the employees could come in for measurements.

I wouldn't mind a casual business relationship! Since he would have moved to Recolle not very long after Yukine his store would have been around for about 2 months or so. And he would be fine with casual conversation and such too, if raising an eyebrow over how many jobs Yato seems to have gone through.

...Then as soon as he finds out this is the guy who was son's gateway bro to delinquency he will stare and judge.

This gives Ainsley more reason to check up on her and try to get her meals and stuff if she ever learns about this. She'll be so worried but try to still give Neri space because she can look after herself but but but she's always there for her okay?? She honestly doesn't want anything in return - Just knowing she's doing well and them keeping in contact with each other is enough for her!
