Gwendal is not sociable by any standard you can imagine, so comfortable acquaintances is probably where a lot of his connections stall anyway. Like 'if I see you at a social gathering I will stand near you because I know you don't bug me' kind of level.

That sounds good, then! V is very good at not bothering people--though he might also catch Gwendal one day at that animal shelter, given V's own interest in protecting animals and nature and so on.

A good reaction to that - and a willingness not to tell other people about Gwen's Safe Place - would definitely bump him up a couple of trust levels! :D
