So!!

Ainsley definitely would have tried to make friends with Grell when she moved into the city. Occupation wise they might not have met as easily but interests wise there's a big chance for them to have run across each other!! Ain is a big old bookworm and been excited to meet someone else who is well read and quotes something she might have read in the past. Maybe that's how they meet. Grell quotes something to someone else and Ain just goes, 'That's from X!! Oh my gosh you said the quote perfectly!! Eep that was aloud wasn't never mind I don't want my Starbucks Kathy I gotta gO…'

She also would have been interested in learning German from Grell since she wants to learn it to converse with Grell if that's easier for her/learning something new like a language seems fascinating to Caelum. (And canon wise for her, she knows over ten languages with German being one of them so she'd definitely feel something because of that.)

Whether or not you'd think Ain would know about Grell's work is up to you but! If she knew, Ain would make the effort to try and read up on the job so they can discuss their work together in-depth because it does sound fascinating and is a necessity. And I am done talking now honest.

oh no that's adorable....Grell would try to stop her and give her back her coffee and be charmed that she knows the quote as well, and they can discuss whatever books together. and if she wants to learn a new language Grell'd be happy to help her because it keeps her own skills sharp since she doesn't use it as much as English but she wants to stay on top of it so they absolutely must!

as for her job, she won't hesitate to tell if Ain asks her what she does, it's just a knowing that people usually are reasonably grossed out by dead bodies and waiting for Ain to do the same, but she'd be so touched if she read up on it, honestly. and she'd admire Ain's patience and dedication towards being a teacher so much....i have a feeling they're going to be amazing friends.

YES I WOULD LOVE THAT. She loves learning and teaching hence her job and she knows everyone has a reason for their occupation/interests so she would never be grossed out by what Grell did since it's her choice. Them talking about their day and telling silly stories that happened at work is so cute in my head? Them being friends is super important to me now thank you.

And Ainsley knew German as Caelum so getting a better grasp of it and having an almost fluid conversation with someone in it would definitely bring back a memory of hers. But also because it'll be so cute for Ainsley to try her hardest to speak German and apologise over and over again if she fumbled because she doesn't want to waste Grell's time and this is all amazing honest!!

meanwhile Grell just laughs and tells Ainsley she's having fun so don't think they're wasting time and she probably ends up putting sticky notes with words all over her house one evening to help her out

they need to be friends this is absolutely something i need

THAT'S SO CUTE AND FUNNY??? Ain would keep them all in affection and buy Grell more sticky notes to make sure she still has!

This is so cute. Yes please this needs to happen let them be friends.
