OOHHH I LOVE THIS i really do. since his family's more based on like music than wealth and politics, she would probably not be As Dismissive but still pretty cautious around him. they probably met up at fancy galas and Lili was a charming little girl who grew more and more jaded as the years went on

they might've started off as? actual friends? but Lili's father experienced some scandals and there are rumors that he allowed his daughter to be kidnapped that make her especially distrustful

honestly i love that idea

as Dante got older he also got jaded with the touring life, never being able to make actual friends and only getting to know the superficial touristy sides of all the places they went... so he wound up getting involved with the wrong sorts of people and breaking into abandoned houses and underage drinking and stuff like that

So I'd love it if they had started off as actual friends! And then just. As the years go by she's getting more jaded and Scandals are happening and Dante's more dismissive because all these rich kids are the same anyways he's gonna go off to this other secret party instead of showing up at the reception... and they wind up drifting apart a bit?

ugh this is important to my soul. Yes. I'm super down for it. like they were friends as kids and could hang out and spend time at each other's houses - like Dante got invited to the manor when his parents were performing for the city and Lili would've been happy to see him but

then he kept leaving and she kept getting more jaded and angry at the system and they sort of just. lost touch.

would they run into each other at college again or?

and i think they could, but i'm not so sure that they'd wind up having classes together? Dante's taking a couple of gen ed courses, but he's leaning towards doing the business course and studying a bit of law on the side so he probably wouldn't be in many of the same classes as her. Still, they could always run into each other on campus or have that moment on the network like "wait a second

LMFAO GOD yeah no that's fair. they might run into each other in a law class eventually if you want to plan out another semester or something later. but I think it's fair to say that they wouldn't realize that they're both around until they properly see each other's name on the network

PLEASE DON'T BE Dante needs people to call him out on his shit!! Especially because he's turned into one of those cynical jerks that's like "people won't be around long enough anyways why should i bother putting any effort into being friends with them when they'll just be gone in a couple years"

So yes every single bit of this sounds amazing and I can't wait for this

LMFAO Lili will... absolutely call him out and talk to him just as familiarly as if all those years of distance never happened at least?? though admittedly that doesn't particularly anything good... it just means we're going to get deadpan honest lili right from the get go which can be A Lot

but she's also probably going to be lowkey glad to see him
