AU WORKSHOP - FEBRUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. I see these two fighting like cats and dogs in the end but Rygdea doesn't really hate Ardyn. At least not yet.
That comes later.Not certain yet. I'm still trying to figure out what would be "Fynn's" stance on big bro's conflict with the parents. He night be staying out of it since at the time he was busy partying and living life. I don't think he had much of a say but he thinks Ardyn is an ass.

That's kind of what I figured, tbh? That he mostly stayed out of it, and thus the reason why Ardyn doesn't put him squarely in the "hate" category, just the "really, really annoying" category. For now. I imagine seeing him just brings up some bad associations, is all. He miiiiight get over it. Maybe.

The two of them might be able to get along if Fynn doesn't try to change Ardyn's bachelor pad into a damn nightclub. Expect blackjack and possible hookers when Ardyn is away! j/k
Thankfully, Fynn doesn't have too much time to spare since he's a beat cop who's trying to make detective. He has to have some sort of decorum and standard about him even though he refuses to cut his hair for nonexistent "religious reasons". Fynn only uses that excuse to get away with having long wild hair.

He's a novice.Okay, fine! No blackjack or hookers but he will be crashing on that couch sometimes and occasionally glaring at the annoying cats Ardyn already owns. He hates those little furballs with a passion to rival many burning suns.

Although, on a serious Note--I always headcanoned that Rygdea could at least cook well enough to be useful in such a mundane setting. My original idea about him canon wise is that he hails from Nautilus and his family raised chocobos prior to him joining the military. Rygdea tried out for PSICOM but ended up almost quitting once he saw their dirty tactics. It's then that he met Cid Raine's and joined the Cavalry as his second-in-command upon the air fortress, Lindblum. Rygdea is an expert pilot and has a strong love for aircrafts still.
It's going to drive him stirr crazy to be grounded for so long. Rygdea is missing the skies already.

Oh come on! Fynn wants to challenge bro to a race in his silver and blue Nissan GT-R! They could literally tear up main street together.
Ardyn's life just became awesome! Also expect actual good home cooked foods. Fynn can cook! That's one plus in a sea of negatives.

ARDYN CAN COOK TOO so there! He's lived alone for a long time so he had to manage somehow. But maybe not as well as Fynn? Listen, if he just barges in to try to get comfy and cook for him you're going to be dangerously close to treading into family feels zone, despite being horrendously annoying. When the regains start, I want their falling out to be as painful as possible! Fynn is going to treat Ardyn like a brother until then. He'll cook for him, check up on the
PontiacMustang frequently for repairs, sorta kinda clean the house too! This man is no Mary Poppins but their mother taught her rascal sons how to cook and clean or else neither one of them would ever be husband material even if they come from a well-to-do family.So when the regains start, the heartache begins!
