Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc.
BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

AU NAME: Virginia Lynn Taylor
AU AGE: 35ish, she's a little more aged than she would be normally.
AU OCCUPATION: Various jobs around Recolle, mostly dealing with security.
BLURB:
✯ Born in a large, poor family in the South, and has been raising herself since she was 15. (So she doesn't really have the best relationship with parents, siblings and cousins are fine though, some even live in Recolle.)
✯ Joined the Army as soon as she graduated high school. She's been discharged since the age of 30, but doesn't really like to talk about her experiences and unless it's important, doesn't advertise her Army past.
✯ She isn't one for commitment and changes jobs/addresses/significant others every year. Even her hair doesn't keep the same color/style for more than a few months. (Right now it's kept to her shoulders and dark brown.)
✯ Tends to tinker around with mechanical things and old cars. (Her next job might be at a car mechanic.)
✯ Insists she isn't an alcoholic but tends to spend waaay too time at bars and too much money at the local liquor stores.
✯ Is far sighted so she tends to wear glasses going out.
✯ Has couch surfed at one point at a friends house. Aside from the money worries, could do it again.
✯ Has a daughter she gave up for adoption at the age of 17, she thinks a lot about her but she doesn't really have the courage to try and talk to her. (Even though Virginia moved to Recolle in hopes of being closer to her.)
✯ Keeps things until they are completely broken. (She manages to make use of an old, cracked smartphone despite telling people she'll replace it one day.
✯ Is kind of a mess, but a controllable mess, tbh.
✯ Is a decent markswoman and does enjoy shooting guns as a hobby and carries one for work, but she would never buy a gun to use in her daily life.

LOOKING FOR:
✯ Friends, bar buddies, former and current coworkers! People to tell her to get her shit together!
✯ Fellow Vets that miiiiight be able to pin her strange ways.
✯ Or a possible therapist, idk.
✯ Her daughter, who should be around the age of a teenager by now.
