Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU NAME: Yuuki Ouma
AU AGE: 18
AU OCCUPATION: Robotics Student, Twitch Streamer/Youtuber, probably some other part time job on the side.
BLURB:

✢ Grew up in a small American town with her older brother Kokichi (

decipere) who she is very close to! They come from a fairly rich family and live comfortable lives.

✢ As a child, she was much shyer than her older brother with a tendency to hide behind him when meeting new people or encountering new situations. She still has shades of that timidity nowadays and will do the exact same thing if she's off her game, but she's grown to be overall more outgoing, at least on the surface. She's extremely cheerful and optimistic with a slightly mischievous streak, thanks to Kokichi.

✢ When she was around 13, she became ill and required hospitalization (exact illness to be determined). She grew to keep smiling for her family members because of how worried they were for her health, and started playing a lot of online games with Kokichi and later, others.

✢ This is because during her time hospitalized, Kokichi started up a guild called Vivarium to play with her even when he couldn't be there himself. One of the guild's special rules is to wear a mask in a certain style to keep anonymous- something that helped Yuuki get past her shyness when it came to meeting others.

✢ She was eventually cured and discharged from the hospital, but the guild remained active. The guild doesn't specifically center itself around one game anymore and it has generally just become an online group where people can have fun interacting with one another. She occasionally streams video games with Kokichi while in their Vivarium masks and often does charity runs so they could donate the proceedings to any group that helps sick children.

✢ She is a very studious girl who not only kept up on her homework while hospitalized, but grew to have aspirations in creating hardware for games that made them more accessible to those with illnesses or disabilities. The games got her through a lot, so she now seeks to make it possible for other children suffering from illness or handicaps the same entertainment that comes with games.

✢ They also mail out glitter bombs. That's just. A service they provide from their online shop. Deliver glittery justice upon your foes today!

✢ She's only recently moved into Recollé herself at the beginning of the school year and currently shares an apartment with her brother, Kokichi. As such, she's newer to the area, but eagerly checking out the new places and meeting new people.

LOOKING FOR:

✢ IRL friends! People from her hometown, people from school, people from some part time job, anything! She's pretty much perpetually energetic and upbeat, and unlike her childhood days, she's much better at approaching just about anyone and dragging them off into shenanigans or a snack run.

✢ Guild members and online friends! One of us one of us one of us. Her online handle is Lily and she's active on social media and when she's not shitposting she's probably reblogging cool pins or fanart.

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME:
N/A and much like Ichi I will not be apping until the January round but I'd like to feel out this AU a bit early.

They won't be in the same program at RU, but it's possible that Yuuki and Lucille could be in the same gen ed classes.

I also floated the idea with Ichi about having these two be from the same small town that most of the Fairweathers are from, so if that's something you're interested in, maybe they were classmates in middle and possibly school as well. Lucille is definitely the type to visit someone she knows in the hospital, and while she's not into the online game thing, she would at least try to keep Yuuki company.

MORE FRIENDS

Yuuki would definitely appreciate it! She got used to smiling through things, but someone who knew her from childhood would be especially good at catching when she's faking it from when she's genuinely cheerful. She probably had a lot of troubles with worrying about the burden placed on her family while she was hospitalized that she might have confessed to a close IRL friend.

Yes! Lucille would understand the need to be constantly cheerful as well, since she has the same tendencies to smile and deflect. It may not be for the same reason, but I think it might be sweet if they both call each other on it when necessary.

PEOPLE WHO CAN CALL HER OUT ARE VERY GOOD she's gotten a lot better since her recovery but she still has her moments of shouldering the burden all by herself.

Li-Na won't be in the same program as Yuuki, b/c dancer, but maybe they have some gen eds together? She'd totally ask Yuuki questions about her robotics classes and think her desire to make games accessible is amazing.

Oooh yes! Even just other friends to hang out with IRL would be great. She's a bundle of energy and enjoys being active outside of games, too!

Li-Na is ALL for that. Have a study session then go get bubble tea and pastries together. Go sing karaoke on a Friday night.

Like I mentioned on Kokichi, I was thinking of having Elliot be a former member of the guild! It was probably something he did in high school while he lived in NYC, but kinda fell off after he moved to Recolle and started college because he's been so busy. but he likely knew Yuuka through her online handle at least!!
