AU WORKSHOP - SEPTEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like. OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Are you torn between which character to app? Let us help! anyway, i would be more than willing to throw an older mentor figure for her! one of my characters here is raidou kuzunoha xiv (au name: jouhei kurosawa) from the devil summoner series. he's 23~24, works as a veterinary assistant, and will be soon done veterinary school so while he's not super old, he's got some experience under his belt. he's also the guardian of his cousin who's a little younger than sun jing so he also has experience handling little disasters.
if you're not cool with that, maybe sun jing and jouhei could have met via playing basketball on the weekends at some community centre? i'm open to anything since i just would love some cr with sun jing, laughs

both of those options actually sound great to me? maybe they met through playing basketball (did she whup his butt, tell me she whupped his butt) and they've since then had a sort of friendly/familial relationship? sun jing's pretty friendly and familiar right off the bat, so maybe they have a cute friendship of her hassling him (calling him old man and such~) and him asking her about her five year plan any time she gets too annoying?

jouhei has been in recolle for four~five years now so i'm cool with making their potential cr go back however long you prefer, whether they've known each other for a while or if it's something more recent! (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

LAUGHS I'M TOTALLY COOL WITH THAT god, i love that. ~14 y/o sun jing beating ~20 jouhei, that's absolutely hilarious to me. she can bring it up whenever and he'd still feel the Salt that he felt those three years ago on the court

BRINGING OUT HIS SALT is probably a favorite pasttime of hers t b h. she takes great delight in getting him to act childish or juvenile (for both better or worse) so look forward to that :>c

also actually jouhei absolutely does carry candy in his pockets at all times. you know those strawberry hard candies that everyone's grandmas love? he's got those. he has them and he guards them with his life. good freaking luck trying to get into his pockets when he's on guard 24/7 for his precious candies
i will absolutely look forward to it. if you ever plan on putting sun jing on the tdm, lmk and i'll definitely tag it!

but but. how long would they have known each other, do you think?? because he's actually around her recolle brother's age, SO I WAS THINKING, if you're okay with this ofc ofc, that maybe she kind of extra-imprinted on jouhei because of the distance that grew between her and her brother? they were super close as kids (and still are!) but in his attempt to gain freedom from their family/parents, he sort of distanced himself from her a bit and SHE HATES CHANGE so she probably subconsciously made jouhei kind of her surrogate older brother? 8|a

BUT YES LIKE I SAID jouhei's been in recolle since he was... 17~18 so that's been about four~five years so if you want to go back even further and make him and sun jing know each other longer (go from 14 y/o sun jin beating 20 y/o jouhei's ass in basketball to 12 y/o sun jin beating 18 y/o jouhei's ass LMFAO), i'm down for that! WHATEVER THAT WILL MAKE THINGS EASIER AND BETTER FOR YOU since i didn't really... set anything for jouhei in his au backstory when he moved to recolle, laughs, so i'm super flexible on things!

but okay!! just sent you a tag on the tdm so i hope that's okay but lmk if i should change anything! also i should probably actually give you a few key points about jouhei that sun jing would know so HERE THEY ARE:
- grew up on a farm so he's a country boy. hee haw
- has a nokia block phone. you know the ones that can probably stop a bullet? yeah, he has one and he loves it. he'll never get rid of it
- the phone does not load anything and every text takes like ten minutes because it takes forever to type on it. he only really uses it to play snake
- is always wearing a baseball cap?? what's the deal
- like i said before, he's always carrying around those strawberry candies with him but won't disclose where he got them. it's a Mystery
- his little cousin (nanashi kurosawa) just recently moved in with him (like... a few months ago) so he's just there being a lil shit and getting into trouble
- just regained back a cheeky little demon so i guess that'll just be a thing, freezing things and also being a lil shit
- I'LL PROBABLY THINK OF MORE AT A LATER TIME BUT HERE YOU ARE. FEEL FREE TO ASK FOR ANYTHING
