Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.

TY I WANT CR WITH YOUR HIRO AGAIN, I MISSED HIM FROM CEREAL.....

Xiaolang and Hiro are definitely going to be schoolmates since he's (finally!!) in high school now, but depending on how long Hiro's been in the city, they could have went to middle school/been in the same robotics/tinkering club before he graduated, maybe?? Or maybe had the hilarity of him tutoring Hiro even though he's a year younger than him? They probably would have something to bond over, like being displaced kids with guardians that are more like siblings to them, so?? idk it's 6am and I am just hyped to see Hiro here ok

HI LUNA, PLEASE GIVE ME CR WITH SYAORAN THANKS. I actually tried him here before like May of 2017 and his AU was too boring so I dropped him...so here we are...

I really like the idea of them actually being two kids that managed to bond over something really unique, and I think he'd at least sympathize/empathize a little with Xiaolang's position. Given there's only a year age difference I think it's 100% feasible they were part of some of the same clubs and worked on little projects together and while he's not super open about it to most people he still geeks out when he's actually making stuff. It'd be nice to have a friendship based on that kind of stuff, too?

Look I'm here for it is what I'm saying, I'm down for them knowing each other for a couple of years because of all of that and immediately slamming into you once he's in-game

I'M GLAD YOU'RE GIVING HIM ANOTHER CHANCE SO I CAN SLAM MYSELF INTO CR WITH YOU THIS TIME AROUND ~~and thankfully not with a person who talks shit about his lab, rip Yusuke~~

BUT!! I am so down for them being part of the same robotics/engineering club in middle school and probably working on a few things together for... whatever shows or fairs the club teacher wanted them to be a part of, and maybe they visited one another's houses at some point to get headway on their projects? And that way they both found out they were in similar positions (being carted to another country for 'their own good' and living with unconventional parent figures whom they admire greatly), and gotten to be better friends/acquaintances because of it? He probably fell out of touch with him a bit once they changed schools and Retrospec started causing havoc in his life, but it's cute to think of Xiaolang having a friend/person he got along with outside of Sakura prior to all the game stuff!

... though catching up is probably going to be wild. 'Sooooo, I have... a girlfriend' 'I've been tagging places and gambling' 'WHAT' 'WHAT'

That definitely sounds like a good plan tbh, and hilariously Hiro probably wouldn't even entirely notice that Xiaolang dropped off just a little because of Retrospec shenanigans. I imagine they still touch base now and then but not nearly as much so once Hiro's actually on the app he'd just be like "a h."

ONE OF THESE THINGS IS MORE SURPRISING THAN THE OTHER. God. They're going to be very cute friends, I'm really excited!
