AU WORKSHOP - MAY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. AU NAME: Ultra flexible depending on family situation but I'm leaning toward Kyouya Garyuu if left to my own devices
AU AGE: 23ish??
AU OCCUPATION: Student-ish, musician, professional nuisance
BLURB:

First:
✪ Most of this is flexible depending on cr!!
✪ Except for this: decidedly not German
✪ Born and raised in the US, probably California
✪ His parents were affluent but with very high expectations for him
✪ Luckily, he met them but not without a great deal of effort; he's always been incredibly hard working when there's something he wants
✪ After high school, he finally convinced his parents to let him study abroad and moved to Japan for his undergrad
✪ Of course nothing is ever that simple and it was while living in Japan that he met Leo (espansivo and all associated au deets used with permission) and became the principal lyricist and guitarist for 5cm/s
✪ He continued his studies--international relations, which is always found humorously ironic--while playing with the band. He'd always loved music and while his parents supported his interest, they never saw it as something he could do for a career, but playing with the band here feels different, hopeful. Needless to say, he was disappointed when Leo left
✪ It's not like he followed Leo exactly but he did transfer to Recolle the summer after Leo's departure and has been enrolled here ever since
✪ He still writes songs and plays when he gets the chance--he's that guy in the quad with a guitar--but with the end of his undergrad looming, he's feeling the pressure to decide between music or further education
✪ Personality-wise, he's very close to canon: charming, flirtatious, generous, fond of nicknames, and not great at taking no for an answer. He's intelligent but is willing to be seen as a fool since he knows he'll prove the perception wrong in time, and there's nothing he enjoys more than the challenge afforded by someone who really, really doesn't like him. He doesn't handle things with quite as much grace and style as in canon, though, allowing his insecurities to appear somewhat closer to the surface, but only around people he trusts. Otherwise, it's all smiles here, baby~
✪ And appearance-wise, he's not sporting his signature curl-braid-thing just yet, instead having his more youthful appearance (once I update his icons):



LOOKING FOR: Anything really!! Classmates, room/dormmates (his parents decided after he returned to the States that they'd continue to support his education but no more free real estate), exes, flings, fans, people who fit in that really can't stand him category, family close or distant, fellow musicians

I thiiink I'm having her graduate next month, but Clover's second major is international relations, so they could have had a class or something together in the time he's here?

Alternatively, if he does live in the dorms as opposed to an apartment, she would know him as a resident.

that said, i hope you have him regain his unicorn drill someday and people can wonder how he actually makes it work because it's ridiculous

Oh the drill hair is absolutely coming back even if hair regains seem a little frivolous in the face of the current plot stuff, but what is Klavier Gavin for if not frivolous hair concerns while the world is on fire?

They could definitely have a class together! Klavier is that guy who never seems to be studying but is somehow on first name terms with all the professors and does incredibly well somehow?? And that's fine, I do that with shocking regularity, but I will always accept you

klavier is my favorite ace attorney prosecutor, so i'm so, so glad. there's a murder investigation going on, but he's the most pissy because someone was offbeat during his performance.... a fave

i'm trying to figure out if clover would like him or resent him because he's that guy. she'd probably be charmed by him and then remember she secretly hates his guts after he leaves the room.

If you do make him from California, it could be that he and Roberta knew each other as kids, before she was all closed-off and weary. She used to be quite happy, honestly, so it'd be interesting to have someone who knew her before shit went down in her life.

Jamie's from Cali too! He's 21 and a sociology major, so I guess it's... theoretically possible they've had or will have a class together? (shruggie) He's a good kid who is very sweet and pocket-sized and also works at the same cafe as Apollo and is friends (sometimes with benefits) with Leo! ...And he's a second-gen immigrant and his dad lives in Japan again now so he's been there before and everything

Maybe even seeing each other on campus or in the same dorm


..Klavier may inherit the 'blondie' nickname, however.
