Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU NAME: Toshinori Yagi
AU AGE: Mid 30’s
AU OCCUPATION: History teacher at Recolle University
BLURB:

-Born in the Los Angeles, California to a supportive family. Mother was Japanese and father was American.
-Became an athlete at a young age, participating in every sport he could and never settling for second best.
-Set records for all kinds of sports related things, including distance run in shortest time and field goals achieved.
-Basically was a golden boy all his life, but despite his success never once became conceited or smug.
-Has always had a fascination with American culture thanks to his mother’s passion for it.
-Adores superheroes and is a huuuuge comic book nerd with a ton of memorabilia.
-At age eighteen he graduated high school and moved to Recolle to attend university.
-Despite the urging from his parents to become a professional athlete, Toshinori decided to pursue his passion for teaching as a career.
-He graduated at the top of his class and moved on to teach history at Recolle University.
-Is passionate about his job and will go to any lengths to help his students succeed.
-Is a bright, kind, compassionate and physically fit man. He is also very loud and extra.
-Almost always wears a genuine smile.
-Loves hamburgers.
-You can find him at the gym or the school track almost every night working out.
-In this AU he looks like a young Toshinori. Not super buff All Might and not emaciated.

So I need this in my life. Kara here is a biology professor, so that would make them coworkers. Different department but hey, interdepartmental events.

I can't tell you how badly I need this. Waver / Everett here is going to be a librarian at the university-- although he will have just moved into town fairly recently, it's entirely possible for us to make something work.

Libraries are good for archives and historical research, after all. There's a bunch of openings.

Toshinori will absolutely stop by the library from time to time! He wants to be an excellent professor, after all!

omg ok so this is a bit far off But, in his canon Eichi was an antagonist with a hero complex (which led to some Bad Choices) who later came to resent the concept of heroism; I think it might be potentially interesting for the both of them if Toshinori were something of an Adult Eichi trusted / could confide in in Recolle? (Hesitant to say mentor figure in case you had other stuff planned for that!) I mean, who knows how it'll unfold in the future, but!!!

In any case, Eichi could certainly be a student- and one who definitely needs help; he's just not very responsible about doing his work or attending class even though he's capable, so if Eichi had a course with him, he would have def needed help to pass lol;;

Toshi would def be willing to help troubled students! I want him to be an adult that students can confide in, even if they don’t always seek out his advice on their own. He’s best dad, after all.

A good dad!!! I'm looking forward to it then! Eichi wouldn't normally confide in adults, so I'm sure it'll be fun however it might develop!!

Koutarou is a part-time art teacher at the university and he's also genuine and friendly, so him and Yagi might be at least acquaintances.

Howard here is actually a teacher's assistant for a history professor at the university - I don't know if he'd be Toshinori's TA or another history professor's TA, but either way, he probably deals with Toshinori on a regular basis! He's completely the opposite of Toshinori though - he's just this gaunt anxious nerd who writes about shipwrecks in his spare time, he'd probably be like PLEASE KEEP IT DOWN SIR YOU'RE BEING TOO LOUD

Please be his TA, he’s a mess that can’t keep his lesson plans together, haha.

Jamie was also born in the LA area (though both his parents are Japanese)!! He's 21 and a sociology major / premed, so he could easily have taken a class or two from Toshinori. He's a good kid who works hard but is always tired and occasionally comes across as a stoner (even though he NEVER gets high before class).

I need more hero-hero (or is this hero-vigilante or even hero-anti-hero?) CR. This could be interesting since Toshinori was more of a Superman type of hero figure where Matt was much more Batman-lurk-in-the-shadows. Maybe they go to the same gym.
