AU WORKSHOP - MAY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. BLURB:

• Born and raised in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Parents died at a young age. Moved around from city to city until he settled in Recolle.
• Always had an interest in history, collects all the memorabilia he can afford. Reads and collects all the books he can afford.
• Full time dork. Is bullied a lot and a pushover, except when it comes to the things and people that matter. (his family)
• Became a history teacher in Recolle high school. Has been for going on 30 years now.
• Organizes the annual Recolle History Convention.
• Pretty much a mousy kinda guy. Nice, meek, and easily excitable. Has weird quirks (repeats actions and behaviors though not OCD, insists on students formatting their papers a certain way, insists on using coasters for drinks, etc). Will geek out with everyone and anyone. Loves history, comic books, fantasy. Overall friendly and cheerful dude who doesn't act his age.
• Hosts a weekly board game session that he GMs. He is a great GM (could be twice weekly with different groups if popular enough??)
• Has a bad back from an accident and a weaker constitution in general, especially when he was younger.

LOOKING FOR: Students, friends, fellow convention organizers, fellow teachers, fellow geeks, enemy/rivals, anyone really! Age is not a problem.
Mostly my plan for him involves him enthusiastically finding ways to remember everything about the real Phil Coulson while interacting with everybody else on Retrospec. :D

Varian would (I assume) be a student of Phil's, being a high school student. And the boy's a nerd for history, books, and fantasy and history in books, so I could see them geeking out together.

I think Michel would have loved him as a teacher before graduating and keeping in touch! I kinda wish he wasn't as occupied due to his life as a Youtube star unless Phil wants to be part of a youtube gaming session.

But yeah, Sara's a relatively new teacher at Recolle High (has been subbing for this past year but will be teaching full-time in the fall) and I have genuinely no idea what kind of working relationship they'd have but it absolutely has to happen.

I could offer two of my characters as students--Light (Akira) here as a former student (from about 8 years ago) being that one guy who destroyed the curve. And Yosuke from Persona 4 who would be a current student senior?

Sneaking in while on hiatus to reply to you

I've two characters for potential CR. Tastuo Kihara, 31, as a past student. He'd have been an okay student. Well behaved, but not top of the class. He'd have gotten low Bs. He currently works as a CSI for the Recolle Crime Lab.

And then there is Li-Na You, 18, as a current/about-about-to-be-past student. If Coulson teaches American History, he'd have a very determined Li-Na struggling her way through his class. She's a foreign exchange student from Hong Kong and thus the school thought she should learn some local history.

I have only watched s1 but do want to catch up!!!

Wow I'm late, sorry!

Noah could be another student of Coulson. He's a junior that transferred to Recolle High half-way through his sophomore year. He's pretty sullen, dresses like an escaped Hot Topic model, and sometimes gets detention because he gets into fights with bullies - but he at least works hard to do well on homework and exams? Though if Coulson teaches American history he'll probably struggle more than normal because help he's from the UK what is all this.

So I've got Elda who is 41 and has a son in high school who would be getting through the end of his Junior year now. They could have met through that or like some village meeting or ... something. Idk I want to collect all the older people here.

Late af but!

Matt is 32 and attended Recolle High back in the day. Possibly another former student? He would have gotten straight A's and went on to Harvard. He lived at the orphanage during his teenage days so any support from kind teachers would have been a big deal to him. His niece Mary (it turned out his mother had other kids he wasn't aware of) is a graduating senior and with similarly perfect grades.

Since Coulson is into conspiracy theories maybe he has a theory or two about the vigilante who has been running around since December in a devil costume.

Also here for the alien/New York memories and talk about those famous heroes "The Avengers."

Oh. Avery would be interested in Dungeons and Dragons. And he would love the fact that Coulson is a history geek, mostly because he's in love with learning? And books? He's pretty young, but maybe Coulson was his teacher once upon a time and Avery just took to him?
