Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

No but seriously, Noctis isn't much of a reader but I can find a reason for him to stop by purely to get CR. I'll be apping 9S from NieR: Automata too and he's definitely a bookworm.

But yeah, I'm sure maybe Genesis and Noctis met at the hospital or some such? May not be too beneficial but maybe Genesis makes a kind of tea for Noctis that at least makes him feel better? Not a miracle drink or anything, but small boosts for like energy or something. Either way, they can bond over the fact that they aren't super well and it sucks and so hey, you see that movie last week?

Noctis is sick for very complicated, "gods are mean in every FF game" reasons that he is fully unaware of. So he's been in and out of the hospital frequently since childhood. It would be great if they had some sort of bond established during an extended stay, and I think the idea of Genesis having made some sort of comfort tea for him is super adorable. Which is to say I am 100% down for it.

That gives him incentive to visit Genesis' bookstore :)

Haha I totally understand. I’m doing the same because Genesis had degradation in Crisis Core because fucking with DNA and alien DNA is totes legit and ethical amirite? Either way, Genesis understands the whole feeling like you’re falling apart although at least this time around he’s in control of his emotions a bit more! Being a FF character suuuuucks...

The comfort tea would be so adorable yes! Eee, I’m excited. Want to have them meet when Noct was a kid (and Gen being around teen years) or sometime later? He didn’t grow up too far outside of Recolle so there’s always a chance they met at the Recolle hospital or something years prior, otherwise something recent is cool too!!

Being a Final Fantasy Character does suck. They need a support group.

Noctis actually wasn't raised in Recolle! He was born in the U.K., so he was mainly raised there and traveled a lot due to his father being a successful business man.

He has been in the hospital recently, though! And he had a lengthy stay about a year ago. Maybe they ran into each other then?

/gasp. So they can also be commonwealth buddies???? /chinhands

But yes! That time can work for how they met! It’s while Andrew was deployed so Genesis could have been a bit neglectful of himself or just came down with something particularly nasty. So meeting while recovering would be great! After that, maybe they just kep touch and at some point, yummy tea as well?

Sure can!

And that totally works! Noctis will have been wandering the halls of the hospital a whole lot to get fresh air. Last year, he was in a wheelchair for a good chunk of time while his legs recovered from the whole 3 month coma he was in.

I'd love for them to catch up over tea :3
