AU WORKSHOP - MARCH Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. I'm very tired and trying to figure this out, but!

So, Kei's 37 years old. About 10 years ago, he was in Recolle college doing the whole medical degree thing until he had to drop out due to his father taking ill. (fingerguns) If Sigma was around in the city then, he could have totally taught Kei -- or if like, something different, would Sigma like to help him out in having created a super illegal back-alley clinic? (laughs)

☆ currently a computer science major in Recolle University! it’s his third attempt at finding a major that he likes (english and chemistry were the previous ones).
☆ from monaco! his family is rich as fuck in the area, and they’re very involved in the politics of the region. they’re not nobles, but they know all the actual nobles enough to invite them to dinner.
☆ he moved to recolle for college, under the pretense that RU is a good university, and his parents sent him without another word. they actually continue to support him, sending him a hefty allowance each month.
☆ what flat doesn’t tell anyone, though, is of his parents’ abuse. they never hit him, but their words and neglect were enough to affect flat for a long time—sometimes even now. the reason he left monaco was to leave his family behind, and the reason his parents keep sending such a large amount of money each month is because they don’t want their son to return.
☆ still, flat never forgets to smile! at first, his smiles used to be a lot more fake and a mask to hide his loneliness, but by now his smiles are a bit less forced and much more honest. he’s very goofy and has almost no idea how to read the atmosphere. he will get into your personal space and he will excitedly talk about anything.
☆ used to be a part time model! not because he needed the money but...he just thought it looked fun. the agency used to love him because he was naturally attractive, but they got fed up with his strange behavior.
☆ he’s a genius! surprising, right? it’s unexplainable, but flat is a goddamn genius in whatever he does, solving complex problems with ease. that said, he has no common sense, so he’s still an idiot.
☆ he’s a hacker! i would say he’s a white hat but... he doesn’t do it with permission either...but he doesn’t mean harm when he does it! but he hacks webpages and emails in his spare time and then actually sends to the person in question suggestions on how to fix those issues. good luck tracing back to him, too.
☆ he’s a huge huge nerd. he loves video games and comic books and whatever the recolle equivalent to yu-gi-oh is.
☆ he gives nicknames to his friends!! if you’re his friend, then you got a nickname.

AU OCCUPATION: Restaurant owner and Guy You Go To if you wanna fund your startup business, he likes investing.
BLURB:
- Son of two scientists, has several siblings.
- His older, twin siblings were a pair of delinquents in their youth and had a tendency to pick him on when they were growing up. Just standard sibling stuff and nothing too serious, but when he grew up he became a resentful little shit.
- The rest are /waves hands. i guess one of them really loves their trucker hat
- Got a lot of his parents smarts but rather than follow in their footsteps he entered the stock market. I guess you could say he had a knack for taking other people's stuff and using it to become more powerful influential.
- In typical fictional backstory style, he had resounding success and made a lot of money. He used it to fund his first ever business, establishing a small restaurant that over time become fancier and fancier until it had nothing but those people who shell out thousands of dollars for food with like, gold shavings on the plate. You know that shit.
- He has very little appreciation for his staff and thinks people are paying out the ass for nothing, but he tries to keep his mouth shut because wouldn't wanna piss off all his staff by insinuating the food his chefs make aren't worth their price tag.
- Over the years he's lent money out to aspiring businesses he had a good feeling about and co-owns several businesses in the city as a result. Occasionally uses this as leverage if he needs favours from people.
- SO CELL'S STILL PRETTY MUCH AN ASSHOLE ABSOLUTELY OBSESSESED WITH PERFECTION. His outfits are all several layers all Perfectly coordinated, Perfectly accessorized. He's always clean shaven and his hair is Perfectly trimmed. He's a neat freak and if you spill something on his clothes or rumple his outfit he'll probably throw a hissy fit.
- He can be kiiiind of decent with people who have a lot of wealth or influence but he looks down on everyone else. Very condescending. Very smug.
- Acts like he's So Smart that he relishes a challenge to his intellect but in reality he's a super poor loser. If he loses at stuff he throws a hissy fit.
- When he isn't throwing hissy fits he's actually a very charming guy. Very handsome, very smooth. Also a ruthless businessman, I mean, would you fuck with someone voiced by norio wakamoto
- He pays his workers very well and you get good benefits but he runs the tightest ship imaginable. Retrospec is no excuse to call out sick from work FYI.

LOOKING FOR:
- AS I SAID ABOVE, FAMILY'S A THING.
- You can also work for him if you want enough money to live comfortably but the trade off is he's very very strict about how tight a ship he runs. It's probably a very stressful job.
- If your character runs their own business he could've lent them the cash to get started! They're probably still paying him back though...
- I remembered Cell JRs are a thing so if you want a Dad who'll eventually become a creepy bug man I'm here for it. Probably divorced since who the hell would marry this guy longterm.

- Kale lives with her Dad and older brother. Her Dad is the only one who works and kiiind of struggles to support all three of them, so no college for her.
- Her older brother is fucking huge, anti-social and very quiet. But if provoked he flies into fits of rage and has a reputation for having lashed out violently in the past. you know this guy. They're not especially close or affectionate but they aren't on bad terms and he's never lashed out against her before, so her feelings towards him are kinda neutral. In a "i dont actively spend time with him but if he went to jail id be upset" way. a distant relationship
- Kale hasn't a clue what she wants to do with herself because her teenage years just passed her by in a flash. Her grades were average, she had no real extracurricular activities and she got a reputation for hanging out with a delinquent gang despite the fact she never actually involved herself in their bullshit. She just had a crush on one of them. Still does probably.
- That's about it GIRL NEEDS TO FIND HERSELF.
- She's still mostly like her canon self so while she is a nice enough girl she's very self critical, meek and quiet. The type of person who doesn't stand out.

LOOKING FOR:
- Family?? I doubt anyone in their right mind would play broly but if you play someone who fits that big tough and violent but quiet role come at me.
- Her Dad is a blank slate aside struggling to support his family on whatever job he has. Her mother could exist if you want her to have just divorced the guy. Again, totally open here.
- People who knew her from school, people who are still friends with her, some kind of adult who worries about her since she's NEETing it up with no future prospects in sight. it's all good
