AU WORKSHOP - MARCH Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. BLURB:

★ Younger sister to Olivia (bylight), and step-sister to Dia (unidolize)
★ Originally from Recollé, but moved to a small town before she could remember
★ Father died when she was still relatively young, so she was largely raised by her older sister
★ Unlike her older sister, Penny was a relatively well-behaved girl, and took care of a lot of the cooking and cleaning for the household whenever necessary
★ Because of her sister leaving, Penny has taken a much more active role as an older sibling to her half-sister, and is something of a mother hen to her
★ Recently graduated from college with a degree in teaching, and has accepted a job at a high school in Recollé
★ Small town girl in the city?! Wow there's so much here??!

LOOKING FOR:

★ Students! I'm still trying to decide what subject she will be teaching, but feel free to assume that your character is in her class.
★ Fellow teachers! She's still recovering a bit of culture shock, because going from a tiny town to a city like this is going to take its toll.
★ Neighbors! Right now, Serah is living in a small apartment somewhere in town. I haven't quite established where, and am leaving this relatively open for hooks.
★ Musical-types! Because I'm a sucker for voice actor jokes... This is an added hook, but Penny is a fan of music and can sing reasonably well. She's not ready to tackle any open mic nights yet, but you might see her from time to time at various venues around the city!
★ Other small-town kids! Maybe they're from the same place?! Who knows!
★ OTA! If you have a potential hook that you think might be interesting, toss it my way! Let's work some things out!

I would imagine she does! She probably does double-duty with both regular placement and AP classes, and if nothing else Penny could be her homeroom teacher. She's very tough, but fair.

Elliot is Zack's 18 year old cousin! He lived in NYC but he'd visit his small town family during holidays and summers. Since Zack and Olivia are close, I imagine Elliot and Serah would know each other?? Honestly like Olivia, when he was little he probably assumed she was another cousin...

Also he's a tiny music nerd, so they probably could've bonded over that.

Definitely! Penny is a little older than him, but she would probably look out for him anyway. And I think it might be cute to have them bond over music as well. Is he a musician, or just enjoys music?

Also chiming in for the pseudo-family here! Natalia is also one of Zack's cousins but she actually was born and raised in that small town that they're from and so grew up with Zack as basically hr older brother and thus Olivia as a pseudo-family by proxy. ... They probably would have known each other from back then!!

Probably! I'm not sure how older/younger Penny would be, but considering she likely tagged along with her sister a lot when she was really young (sorry Olivia, she would have been hard to get rid of), I don't see why they wouldn't know each other. They might even be friends!

So Penny would probably have Luna as a student for history next year (she'll be a freshman) but there has to be some way to have them connected before that! She vaguely knows Olivia...

I know in certain high schools, there are programs where students will work with elementary or middle schools to either recruit or to generally help out. Maybe a few of Penny's students has been working with Luna's class?

Kon here is in college but he's been there for a while even at 18, and if you wind up going the history route they could've encountered each other in more than passing because he has a minor in history. Classmates!

Also his rec AU NPC guardian is a teacher so he could get her some of the resources she uses to give her a hand with things.

Penny's a very recent transplant (as of September), so I'm not entirely sure that this would work. She didn't go to college in Recollé, so I'm not sure where their connection would be. I'm happy to discuss, though!

Hi there! Lucy here is Luna (Lumina)'s AU sister. She was a dropout delinquent even before she moved to Recolle so I doubt they'd meet in a classroom. But Lucy wanders around like a cat a lot, and her job has weird hours so she can be Anywhere.

Lucy also bounced around from town to town a lot as an Angry Teenager, so maybe she passed through the same one Penny lived in?

Gar is The Absolute Worst student and believes such things as: Lincoln was assassinated by Robert DeNiro in 1917 during the Korean War, so hopefully Penny is ready for a challenge.

He's sweet but he's about as book smart as a brick.

She also enjoys singing and tends to hit up various karaoke venues so maybe could have seen each other at some venues and Sayaka can be all shocked and "TEACHER?!?!"

Foggy is a fellow high school teacher. He's teaching English and Drama. Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney mr_fancy_car is the other high school teacher we have. He's a gym teacher.

Foggy is also into music. He was a Broadway baby way back when so if Penny likes musical theater at all he would be SO THERE.

I probably should've commented with this guy at the same time as Elliot but OH WELL.

Noah is a junior in high school, so he might be one of her students! His grades are fine, but he looks like he escaped from a hot topic catalog and tends to be really sullen in the back of the classroom. Sometimes his golem friend Timcanpy stashes away in his bag too, so Penny might catch sight of that.

Cyan's a dancer but he also has some knowledge of instruments here and there and he could absolutely be willing to drag her to open mic or karaoke. They can be neighbors if you wanna!

Hey! o/ Sorry about being so late; I've had a couple of crazy weeks. I can't think of any ways that Fang (Freya, here) would've crossed paths with Penny, but I'd be okay with them being strangers if you are. I'll hit you up on the TDM if you don't think it's too late?
