AU WORKSHOP - JANUARY Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World Changes FAQ Game Calendar Plot Finds (ooc knowledge) • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC! FORM PLAYER'S NAME: CHARACTER'S NAME: CANON: AU NAME: If there's a name change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU AGE: Again, if there's an age change at all! If there isn't, you're free to put n/a AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc. BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant. LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? OH SHIT A KIREI THIS IS WONDERFUL AHHH

aside from sena making COUNTLESS ATTEMPTS AT EATING MAPO TOFU AND BARELY SURVIVING (bc hey mapo tofu is actually pretty healthy but not in copious amounts apparently), is it all right if they related? this is such a trainwreck god but he can be sena's distant uncle or godfather or what have you??? you dont have to change his surname or anything too!

He could be a distant uncle, sure! (holds chin to mull over) Kirei's parents got nasty divorced that's why he just lives with his father and partially why his father just up and left Japan in Kirei's teens to live in the Recolle. That'd leave Kirei's mother and brother to be Sena's grandmother and father respectively that continue to live in Japan until they eventually come to move over to Recolle.

So, we got options if you like that idea! 1. Kirei doesn't know Sena's his nephew 'cause he has fallen out of contact with his brother; Sena knows Kirei's his uncle. 2. Kirei does know that they're related but due to Sena's family's distant behavior, Sena doesn't know. 3. Both of them know that they're related and kind of awkward around each other since neither one knows each other that well. 4. Neither one yet knows but will figure it out in Recolle game proper.

What are your thoughts??

OOOOH THESE ARE REALLY GOOD like damn im not sure which one to choose... i think #3 is good? bc of their aforementioned family issues; sena's parents in particular have been very neglecting of him because they keep on going out of town for business trips so he has no choice but to grow up on his own...

but yeah that's a good plan!! i haven't really hashed out the intricate details about sena's family aside from them being really distant from him so this is really great! though he'll be a little cold to kirei bc haha, family shit...........

His distant brother came to the city and gave a show of, "hey we know each other more"... one awkward family dinner, and then goddamn nothing, but Kirei is like, "so.... you can come to my shop whatever." and expected nothing and then sena comes and he's like "oh, i should try to be a reasonable uncle...." and fails 'cause he's a trashcan. WHOMP WHOMP.
