Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU OCCUPATION: Feel free to list if your character is a student (elementary/middle/high school/college), if they own their own business, if they freelance, if they have a stable job, etc.
BLURB: Here you should write what you have for your AU; you can list your character's hobbies, who their friends and family are, if they have any particular quirks or interesting pieces of their history, if they're from a wealthy family or if they're struggling to get by, anything you feel is relevant.
LOOKING FOR: Are you looking for family members or friends or enemies for your character to be pre-planned? Or are you asking for ideas or feedback on your AU idea? Anything goes, just specify what you would like.
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Are you torn between which character to app? Let us help! Post your ideas in a comment and let fellow players offer feedback and CR ideas. You can also use this section to ask for canonmates you would like to see in-game whether it be in your specific AU or for different CR.

Sakichi's Japanese yes!! I was operating on American-born, but we can say he frequently visited Makoto and family in Japan throughout his teen years if that works?!

I have no idea what Sakichi's parent situation would be right now but maybe at the end of all this I'll bum Makoto's last name off her

LIKE HONESTLY, I CAN MODIFY HER AU A BIT if you want a sibling! I wrote Sae in, but she could easily be swapped, we'd just need to figure out like-- maybe her mom was American, and they divorced, so he lived most of his time with her? While Makoto grew up in Japan?

Oh no... DAMMIT reunited siblings... I didn't know I wanted this. :'( I'm totally down for this plan!! And I'm super flexible still so if any tweaking is needed just let me know!

He probably would've written to her while he was deployed since he currently only has one (1) friend and zero (0) hobbies so like what else did he have to do during downtime lmao

Just tell me they were great letters about his life!! So she could have been quietly cheering from Japan.

Whoops I didn't see this

Sakichi is kind of dry and factual... He would've written about innocent things like new food, flora, and fauna he'd seen, and stuff like "I could do one more push-up today." LMAO... His writing would be super straightforward and lack any kind of flowery language. He'd note vaguely if he got into any combat situations because he's too honest, but in a matter-of-fact, totally unexciting kind of way...

Sakichi is a stable sort of dude and doesn't complain too much even when he suffers... A big chunk of his letters were probably more focused on Makoto, the new stuff in her life, and the dispensing of brotherly advice haha

I'M BACK AGAIN!! ara is asking if sakichi and therefore makoto would like a cousin in chiyo (from gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun) on chiyo's mother side! would that work for you?

Do you mind if we say that their mom remarried and moved out of Recolle while Sakichi was doing his service? I mostly just wanted to find a way to force him into a roommate situation haha
