CHARACTER: Grell Sutcliffe
CANON: Black Butler

BLURB:
-29~30 year old woman who moved to Recollé a year or two back for her work, though she keeps her ears open to catch up and be as informed as people who've lived their whole lives. Her father was German, and she's bilingual from that.
-Medical examiner and coroner, which is something that stems from a dual interest in how the body works and death/the afterlife. Certified in her previous place of living, and allowed to practice in her field here while she finishes becoming certified here.
-Also doesn't talk about her job unless asked.
-Still pretty much everyone's vaguely creepy if caring aunt.
-A quiet childhood where she kept her head down to hide her odd interests, distant from her parents and more inclined to stay in Recollé for holidays.
-Well read with a taste for older literature, enough that she quotes from time to time when the situation seems to need it. A keen interest in the dramatic and praise of the performing arts.
-Personality wise, she's out there - bold and bright and determined and says what she thinks while also maintaining a polite elegance about it. Almost a little old fashioned in the way she acts, but it's just How She Is. In reality, her confidence masks someone who's submissive, shy, and apologetic, and she's doing her utmost to fake being the sort of person she wants to be. Usually this isn't a problem, but under severe pressure the mask does crack and show how emotionally exhausted she is.
-Enjoyment of the macabre and horrific but limited to the realm of fiction alone. It's incredible when it's only a movie, but in real life not so much.
-Somewhat reckless in how she takes risks and chances, but ready to push through until the end.
-Friendly towards children - she sincerely likes them and wants to protect them.
-A very devoted and loyal friend to those that would have her.
-Somewhat flirtatious towards anyone that catches her eye, but quick to drop it if disinterest is made clear/she learns they're taken. She's a hopeless romantic in her heart, and wouldn't dare cross real love.

LOOKING FOR: Neighbors, friends, colleagues, pretty much anything and everything. A lot of Grell's current background is up in the air, so I'm trying to smooth it out and make it more substantial. pls help me I have too many ideas and therefore no ideas
OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: My heart is set on Grell, so if someone apped someone else from Black Butler and wanted to hash out an AU, I'd be ecstatic. I'd make icons. I would promise loyalty or something.

if he's in med school there's a possibility she could go over and be there to ask people things and such so they could meet with her being around....also she's THERE FOR THE MORBID BOOK CLUB she wants to be thrilled over the horrible things in the novels

she might be just an honorary aunt but imagine her accidentally leaving a scary book around frisk and they get started and grell is so proud. she's so happy. she'll protect them from all the jumpscares.

seeing as I'm leaning closer to making her 30 in the end ardyn can have yet another for his collection

and absolutely! it could even begin with something as small as both of them getting the same book to read - she's the type that would comment on it and ask his opinion and let things develop from there since she's very social. also anyone that enjoys that fictional horrifying stuff is a+ in her book.

Ainsley definitely would have tried to make friends with Grell when she moved into the city. Occupation wise they might not have met as easily but interests wise there's a big chance for them to have run across each other!! Ain is a big old bookworm and been excited to meet someone else who is well read and quotes something she might have read in the past. Maybe that's how they meet. Grell quotes something to someone else and Ain just goes, 'That's from X!! Oh my gosh you said the quote perfectly!! Eep that was aloud wasn't never mind I don't want my Starbucks Kathy I gotta gO…'

She also would have been interested in learning German from Grell since she wants to learn it to converse with Grell if that's easier for her/learning something new like a language seems fascinating to Caelum. (And canon wise for her, she knows over ten languages with German being one of them so she'd definitely feel something because of that.)

Whether or not you'd think Ain would know about Grell's work is up to you but! If she knew, Ain would make the effort to try and read up on the job so they can discuss their work together in-depth because it does sound fascinating and is a necessity. And I am done talking now honest.

oh no that's adorable....Grell would try to stop her and give her back her coffee and be charmed that she knows the quote as well, and they can discuss whatever books together. and if she wants to learn a new language Grell'd be happy to help her because it keeps her own skills sharp since she doesn't use it as much as English but she wants to stay on top of it so they absolutely must!

as for her job, she won't hesitate to tell if Ain asks her what she does, it's just a knowing that people usually are reasonably grossed out by dead bodies and waiting for Ain to do the same, but she'd be so touched if she read up on it, honestly. and she'd admire Ain's patience and dedication towards being a teacher so much....i have a feeling they're going to be amazing friends.

Anya's someone in denial of their fate to be an idol so I would love love love to have Grell be her aunt-type figure who tries to encourage Anya's interest in the arts further, tbh. also tbh she'd probably think Grell is wonderful and beautiful and subtly be like #goals.

They're those friends that people always are like "please stop" because they can both be pretty loud and dramatic when they feel like it though let's be real

she's going to want to know her neighbors though! since she moved into recollé two years ago she's made a bit of an effort to know people at least in passing...i think she wouldn't be apt to give her computer over to a teenager but they're more than welcome to know of each other since grell wants to be kind to her neighbors!
