CHARACTER: Weiss Schnee

BLURB:

- 20 year old girl of German heritage, come to the city to attend college.
- The only child of an obscenely wealthy family, Weiss is set to one day inherit untold fortunes along with the family's company. She was home-schooled by world-class tutors, and has had very little interaction with the world outside her family's estate.
- Spoiled rotten by her mother, she's a total brat and very sheltered.
- Prides herself on her education and ability, and never hesitates to show off how much better than you she is.
- Forced by her father into studying music from a very young age, and has since become an accomplished singer, pianist and violinist. She's performed a small number of concerts in her home city, most commonly during benefits thrown by her family.
- Though she originally detested the practice, she made it her own as she grew, trading the baby grand piano for an electric keyboard. She's gotten into music editing, and has produced an electronica album that she still distributes online.
- Lives alone in a three bedroom apartment near the University, bankrolled by her parents. A butler comes once a week to clean and cook her meals.
- Has little patience for people, and few friends because of it. Some combination of her pride, status, and attitude has made it very difficult to form meaningful relations with just about anybody. Can come off as cold, callous, and condescending. Though she'd never admit it, she's incredibly lonely, and uses her music as a way to reach out in ways she feels she can't normally.
- Takes fencing lessons, something also forced upon her by her father. It hasn't amounted to much more than a rapier mounted in her living room, but at least it's a decent way to stay in shape.

LOOKING FOR: Friends, enemies, frenemies, mentor figures and people willing to pry her out of her shell. Weiss is going to do everything she can to drive you away from her, but if for some reason you stick around, she'll be an incredibly loyal friend. No family, please, but I'm otherwise totally up to discussing AU!

I have a bratty French heiress she can potentially butt heads with. She likely goes to the same college at that.

i dunno about exactly what kind of cr but i like the opposite trajectories here in that ryan here was forced to stop studying music and Do Sports so idk like. maybe they're semi-friends in the online music scene but they don't like each other that much in real life or something???

Okay honestly though by the fact that they both come from rich families/upper class and they both are fencers we should probably have CR?? (Hi Jon it's Ty.) Weiss totally needs people that are kind of bratty themselves and blasé about life right?

In all seriousness I think we could easily say that maybe they've run into one another at some foundation or charity event or something maybe? Kind of a "know by association but not quite friends" thing.

And totally, considering Weiss is bratty and takes life too seriously. I can totally see them as "snooty rich people who've probably shaken hands once", and going from there!

I think that sounds fair to me!! Weiss quickly becomes one of his favorite people to terrorize and he's not even sorry about it :')

Also this is a very important question to me, are you going to bring her in without her facial scar and let her regain it later?

Depends on the hobby. She's very resistant to taking advice from just about anyone, but should someone get her to open up, she might follow their lead.

Or she could get forced into it and you'll just have a huffy heiress on your hands.

Clearly, the rich young heiress needs to have encountered the not-so-rich young not-heiress with surprisingly mad guitar and sound-tech skills!

Yesss absolutely. Should they meet through Yang, or is there some other ridiculous way we can have them bump into each other?

Well, I do have it that Ruby's a guitarist, given that a key conceit with our Yang is 'RWBY Rock AU' elements. But, Ruby hasn't yet actually joined a band! But she is a music-engineering major at the university, so any of the music-department stuff could end up with them in the same class and meeting that way.

With a lot of comedy promptly ensuing, naturally.

I'm thinking of making this lady in to a university professor, so maybe Weiss could be one of her students? I also feel as Gentiana and Weiss might get along since the professor is quite patient and almost motherly without the pushiness.

I sort of feel like Gentiana could be a mentor.

I would love that! Weiss really needs a mother figure to help draw out her softer side. Just be prepared for her to be frigid as all hell at first ahaha.
