Sakura likely coordinated with Shinji's mom to figure out what to get him, since they're still in the process of knowing each other. The first is a practical, if less fun gift of some winter gear - mittens, a scarf, earmuffs. GOTTA BUNDLE HER COUSIN UP FOR THE SEASON.

The second will be any online game Shinji's talked about at length but for some reason doesn't have yet, even if it was expecting to get it from his parents. And naturally she'll ask him to play it with her since she knows absolutely nothing about gaming. Teach this scrub how to git gud.
