1) Make a toplevel for the character(s) you play in Recollé! 2) Comment around with what your character got for other characters. 3) Have fun! Don't worry about jumping in late and don't be shy ♥
[ Expects nothing by default. Spoiling other people is more fun than receiving gifts. He hopes his friends don't stress over gifts for him. His birthday is just 10 days before Christmas after all. ]
-a pack of socks. they're warm and functional and boring black but at least...matt won't have to see how dull her choices can be -a copy of "murder on the oriental express" in braille.
Warm and soft socks? Can't get enough of them. High likelihood he'll tuck his sweats into them like a dork at some point while he's lounging around at home alone.
The book will be well loved, read multiple times over until the spine is all cracked.
A card, though Matt will find that the card has little bumps created out of small beads or something to form letters in braille which means the message is short as hell, but he tried. There's also a matching set of gloves, a hat, and a scarf for all of Matt's rooftop-jumping adventures and a box of homemade sugar cookies.
Separately, there's also a short note (also in braille so REALLY SHORT) apologizing for missing his birthday party and an IOU for that.
Matt appreciates the effort and likes his creativity. Other friends take note! (haha) He needs new winter accessories since his old ones have been itchy ever since his senses were amplified so he is very thankful. If John brings up the IOU in person he'll insist he doesn't owe him anything.
Eren nooooo! This is too much! It even smells expensive. It's a wonderful, beautifully made briefcase and Matt might be smiling confidently and walking into court like a model on the runway who just tapped into the power of Beyonce when he carries it BUT EREN NO!
Matt gets Elda's Christmas card (featuring her and her NPC son) so there's that! She also included a note which is .. again, written but she did her best to manually put in as best she could google "sorry" in braille written in at the top of it, poked in manually by her. Also included in there is a link to a playlist of various ambient noise mixes like rain falling or white noise if he needs it.
... I mean someone else will need to put it in but.
He appreciates her efforts. It's the thought that counts! His niece is happy to help him out by reading and describing the card. If she's unavailable he uses a phone app to help him read any text. Clear printed font at least typically gives the app no trouble.
a pull-up bar so Matt can keep those nice new muscles in shape :P
also, A Tale of Two Cities in braille. enjoy those 600+ pages about one of the best fictional lawyers ever i figured crime and punishment might be too on the nose
He makes no promises to stay ridiculously ripped or to use it but he's amused and thanks him. He lies. He's totally going to train for his night activities.
Make that 1200+ pages. You can't print double sided in braille. The story is likely at least two volumes if not more. Matt cherishes every page. Braille books can be expensive and he loves to read so he feels very spoiled by this gift.
haha well, here
is where i got the 600+ number from. and 12.1 lbs weight. omg from
some library collections i found that had braille copies, it's 4 vols.
which is about on par with the hobbit being 3 vols. every once in a
while someone would accidentally request the braille edition
OH SWEET. I should have known you'd do your homework. /bows in apology Yeah these things are heavy as heck. Tatsuo gave him two gifts that will help him keep those muscles. Maybe little nerd Murdock always had decent upper body strength thanks to all the reading he did. See Derek, he did have muscles!
