AU WORKSHOP - NOVEMBER Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here. IMPORTANT INFORMATION World changes FAQ • Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM. • For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. does he want 2 be pals(/more) with Jamie!! He won't be old enough to be a drinking buddy until the spring, but he's a junior at RU, so they could have met during the overlap. He is NOT from Recolle (SoCal born and raised, dawg) but WAS hella bullied during middle and high school, so maybe they could somehow sense that shared experience and were drawn to one another as a result?? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk man.

other important facts about Jamie: he smokes weed (with a prescription!), is about to hit his five-year anniversary as a starbucks barista, lives with Minato Arisato, and is fucking stressed out of his mind about taking the MCAT / trying to get into med school!!

why are all of Joseph's relationships like this

I would be excited to see them need to rely on each other somehow, and Cain could talk about his hardships from his side of the story in the future when Joseph would be more perceptive to listening.

Until then, all the dumb sniping at each other at family events, or elsewhere.

It's not really a secret, everyone knows about his training and his dream of becoming an ice skater. He even advertises it by wearing silly joke ice skating shirts sometimes.

drinking buddies huh... chuuya runs a literature themed bar so like, if oda ever hangs out there chuuya would definitely know him (and if he ever wants to try out bartending, sup, he'll train him). chuuya also ended up dropping out but they're the same age so they probably used to take English and lit classes together??

maybe they even share their work sometimes if you want them to know each other... chuuya didn't graduate but he still writes poetry and song lyrics SO

SOME KIND OF AU HISTORY THINGY GOES HERE...

• The green eyes and markings on his arm have to go. Why..
• He's a bit too enthusiastic about weapons. Owns a small collection of fake guns and swords.
• Now lives with some bizarre au family. (I'm willing to work with people on this. HIT ME UP MAYBE...?)
• His parents own a shady business in Japan.This makes Nanashi's life go south, causing him to move several times.
• Goes to Recolle to escape from his history.

FAST FORWARD TO THE CURRENT DAY

• Basically Nanashi is that kid who gets put on time out a lot. School is kind of a problem.
• He got stabbed by a gangster on his way home for trespassing on gang territory. There's a scar on his face to indicate as much.
• Now Nanashi wants to find a strong person who can teach him how to fight properly.
• Somehow he got caught up in this gangster business, but it's not too late to turn back?? Send help.

LOOKING FOR:

So Nanashi is out of control. I'd like a babysitter..

Haha! It should be fine! She has a good sense about stuff. Being a tennis player and having some martial arts training has give her pretty good observation and foresight skills. If anything else, she can just get him off balance pretty quick or redirect him to walls/sofas/something soft.

Again, I'm not really sure that that would work, just because there's pretty much no way for them to have met :/ Sora lived in Hawaii until he was ten, and his town is kind of small and backwater-y. And he's not much of an internet guy, so not many ways there either. And I think you said Dylan's never been to Recolle before?

But, I'm super up for them having, like. Bumped in the street right when Dylan arrives or something? I definitely want them to interact in some way.

Correct, he wouldn't have been to Rec before. On the other hand, I worked out some stuff with Marina where their parents knew each other. So that's a possibility to use too?

But I'm up for a first bump-in once he gets to town too! First guy he meets and talks to for an extended period of time kinda thing :)

BLURB:
-The minty blue hair and gold eyes are gone... He has glossy black hair and light brown eyes.

- Definitely keeping his very regal and princely aura! XD He's a very poised, graceful, friendly and humble person who always has a gentle smile on his face. Yet there's a certain sadness in his eyes and though amiable, he tends to keep a little distance between himself and other people as he's afraid they might be repulsed by the scars on his back. (See below) He also tends to keep his worries and fears to himself and hides any unease he feels behind his smile.

- From a rather wealthy, influential and well-established clan based in Kyoto, is the heir of the main family, and a sweet and loving big brother to quite a few younger siblings who adore him and affectionately refer to him as 'Ichi-nii'. (Might he prone to giving anyone younger than him headpats! He can't control it!! XD)

- Almost died in a fire that burnt down most of the clan's ancestral home when he was around ten. It left him with terrible scars on his back which he is very self-conscious about and he's afraid people outside his family might find his scars disgusting, so he always keeps his back covered. He can't really remember the fire, though he does still have nightmares about it and open flames make him very very uncomfortable. He was in hospital for a long time after the fire and grew to love and admire the doctors and nurses who cared for him, thus his desire to be a doctor.

- Has always been the apple of his parent's eyes and they became even more protective of him after the fire, so he's lived a very sheltered life and can be a bit too naive and trusting at times.

- Came to Recolle for university and it's his first time on his own, so he feels a bit homesick yet also really excited about this first taste of independence and is open to new experiences. However, he does check in with his family daily and family honour is extremely important to him, so he won't do anything that might bring disgrace upon them. He's an obedient and dutiful son, and a very conscientious student.

- He plays the piano and is skilled in kendo. He was the captain of the kendo team back in high school.

- He also loves being around little kids and is great with them. He volunteers regularly at a children's hospital. He also tutors little kids at the community centre and teaches them kendo and piano.

- And he's never dated though he's had many admirers and received more than a few love confessions. He does, however, dream of having his own family some day and having/adopting at least half a dozen kids! XD

LOOKING FOR: All the CR!

Members of his very large extended family!! Classmates, other uni students, people from his dorm, professors, other volunteers at the hospital and community centre, secret admirers (??), bad influences that he will do his best to resist (??)

He is also probably a regular at certain cafes and restaurants coz he doesn't cook (please don't make him go near fire of any sort). In addition, he sometimes has trouble sleeping at night (coz fiery nightmares), so he goes for late night walks (which might not be the safest thing to do maybe??). Kind of toying with the idea that his parents have sent/hired people to keep an eye on him and keep him safe from the shadows! XD;;
