Welcome to Recollé's AU Workshop! On this post players new and old are encouraged to help one another make connections for their AU lives and to ask for or offer ideas if they so choose. Please respond to the post with the below form, and/or feel free to comment to anyone else to work things out! Please be aware that posting to this workshop does not guarantee you a reserve, and that multiple players are permitted to workshop the same character. Please find our mod questions comment here.

• Please note: you need a reserve to apply, so please plan accordingly! Reservation dates can also be found on the game calendar and coincide with the TDM.
• For current players who are interested in 2nd or 3rd characters, please review and follow our policy about AC! To reserve a 2nd character you must have a pass for the previous month's AC with your first character. For a 3rd character, you must have a pass for the previous two months' AC for both of your characters. In addition, we do ask that the AC for the current month be met and filled into your AC comment by the time of your reserve. It must be full AC. This means you must have 20 comments between at least 2 and at most 4 threads and one memory regain listed for the current month's AC period. Your reserve will not be accepted until you supply the requested AC!

AU NAME: Kiyotaka Ishida
AU AGE: 19
AU OCCUPATION: University student, probably first year
BLURB:

+ Kiyotaka Ishida, so this version is going to start off with platinum blonde hair and not black. Not going with white since that isn't natural.
+ Born in Japan to a Japanese father and a European mom, they eventually moved to America when he was young due to bullying and his grandfather's scandal. His grandfather was a member of the Diet here.
+ While his parents were able to start a new job/life, Kiyotaka was still bullied in school and didn't make any friends for a long time, partly because of his personality. I was thinking that he's an overly sensitive individual and prone to tears, which led to further teasing. He became a mostly withdrawn, and lonely individual with a slight temper. Not a violent one, but just bursts into yelling.
+ Called 'Taka' by some people because they thought his name was too long.
+ Mostly a good student, but not straight 'As' and didn't volunteer for any extracurricular activities. He also didn't follow rules to a tee all the time.
+ First year of high school, he makes his first real friend that was a very straight laced hardworker with big dreams to change the country for the better. They basically hung out all the time.
+ During the summer after completing his second year of high school, Kiyotaka went to the beach with his friend at night. However, he ignored the sign that warned for a high tide and basically led his friend to drown. It was an accident, but he blames himself for what happened.
+ Basically after that, he became extremely dedicated to following each rule, no matter how small and putting his effort into everything he does. Partly out of guilt, partly to carry on his friend's spirit, and partly because he really believes in all of that now.
+ Eventually became valedictorian and either student council president or class president of his graduating class.
+ Accepted to Recolle University
+ Maybe some part time job or workstudy?? I'm not sure
+ Anyone familiar with Dangan Ronpa, I basically want to do a reversal 'Ishida.' He's not really a rebel or delinquent to start, but became obsessed with following the rules and putting EFFORT in everything to the point of being an exaggeration of his friend that he lost. He has more of a temper now, but still very dedicated to preserving morals and studying and being the best student he can be. ALSO SURELY, BY FOLLOWING ALL THE RULES AND BEING A MODEL STUDENT, HE WOULDN'T LET HIS GOOD FRIEND DIE...

LOOKING FOR:

+ He's not going to have any close friends to start with, even though he might be recognizable to others.
+ Maybe someone that might know him from his old high school, but he's going to be from a city outside of Recolle for this part. This isn't a huge deal for me.
+ Anyone that shares a class with him in Recolle University
+ He's going to live in a dorm, so dorm mates or something?? If so, MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU...
+ He'll probably want to get involved with the student council stuff here, but I'm not entirely sure what to do yet.
+ He's going to be involved with certain clubs or volunteer work, so someone might know him from that.
+ He can probably tutor other students too on various subjects

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: UHHH I'm not entirely sure about this idea, but I'm interested in playing it out!

Oh man, Rin would love to work at a Bed & Breakfast (and actually mean it 20% more than she says she does in her other job interviews). It's the kind of work that feels quiet and cozier. I could even see her leaving her contact details on record if they'd like to call her again next time tourist season picks up. She would have worked really hard and hopefully made a good impression!

Given Yukiko is friends with Sakura though, it was probably one of those relationships where Yukiko didn't know her by last name? Otherwise she'd probably connect she and Sakura were related sooner. I think that could work though!

HOLY SHOOT I'm not even in this game yet but Rin is like probably in my top 3 fav characters from Fate so... enables......you???

Very tempted to offer Foggy and his Recolle AU sister Natalie (Natasha Romanoff in canon) as family if you're interested. They could be cousins, or if you're willing to adjust Ava's backstory even siblings. Foggy is a high school English and Drama teacher and Natalie is a high school student who lives and breathes painting.

Hello, I play both Kurt Wagner and Twogami here! Kurt's around the same age as him, also attends university and could make for an energetic friend!

no that's true, hasebe has a hectic life. but it's fine bc ccp will always make room in his schedule for that inevitable disaster bc he knows how hasebe is. he probably even has it tentatively in his calendar like "mmmm probably right around here". lets him drink beer, makes him cupcakes, gently tucks him in at night

I think that they'd definitely take her on again if she was a hard worker. The way I've sort of set them up is that they'll hire on extra help and if said help is a backpacker or student on gap year or something they even provide a room as part of pay. That could have helped her out a little for a month or two.

As far as the relationship with Sakura goes, easy enough to justify. Yukiko moved out of the B&B right before peak season to live in an apartment for college, so she may know Rin in passing but not terribly well. Plus she's generally spacey enough that connecting Sakura and Rin wouldn't be terribly easy for her.
